Elena Gilbert | The Hardest Part

On May 23, 2009, Elena and Jeremy Gilbert were left Orphaned after a tragic accident that took the lives of their parents. Every year when this date comes around the fandom likes to argue or make this date about a love story. Elena and Jeremy were children who lost their parents and just four months later were exposed to a whole new world. They were experiencing all these dangers, while still grieving the loss of their parents and constantly losing more people as time went on. There is also a hypocrisy in the fandom when it comes to Elena Gilbert. People don’t tend to like her because they say she’s a cry baby. But then those same people who bash on Elena will praise Hope Mikaelson ( and I’m not hating on Hope she’s literally one of my all time favorite characters). Hope and Elena are very similar. They both have lost their parents, have continued losing people, and have had people die to protect them. Each of these characters have survival guilt. But people only seem to feel sympathy for Hope when Elena has experienced almost everything Hope has. I feel like people don’t talk about the fact that Elena was literally with her parents as they died and almost died herself. When she was in that car she accepted the fact that she was going to die only to wake up hours later to be told that she survived but her parents did not. I can’t even imagine what that would be like. Elena and Jeremy both deserved so much better.

She is unnecessarily hated. She was the glue of this show, she inspired so much love and goodness. She always tried to do the right thing, protecting her loved ones at the cost of herself and her own life. It's okay to cry. It's human to cry, to feel, to miss and to mourn. Elena was, and is, a hero. Just as much as Hope. They're both fighters, both had to grow up too fast, carrying the weight of the world on their shoulders, whilst struggling to find their place in the world. So...ELENA GILBERT SUPREMACY!!! 💖💖💖💖💖 An amazing video. So beautiful and heartbreaking. The perfect tribute to this incredible character.

I feel like a lot of the vampire diaries fans think that not crying and instead murdering people because of your trauma makes you a badass basically they think crying makes you weak not just for men but also for women too as shown with 99% of the fandom's hate for Elena

​@@FifthHarmony1234Yes they hate her because she was a human. Even when she was a vampire she still showed her emotions. Let's be real they really hated her because they wanted her with Stefan. Mainly the Stelena fans hate her. Especially when she chose Stefan then after becoming a vampire she wanted Damon. That's because when she was a human she cared what people thought about her. Everyone hated Damon so she chose Stefan. When she became a vampire she gave 0 f*cks and chose the man whom she truly wanted.

Gorgeous video😍😍😍😍 Elena will forever be my favorite character in tvd well second favorite. The hate she recieves just because certain fanbases are bitter she didn't end up with their fav is sad. Fans say she destroyed the brotherly live with Defan. Tbh she's the reason they became close again. Damon eas planning on making Stefan's life an eternity of misery but then he fell for Elena. Defan worked together to protect her then ended up being close as they were before Katherine destroyed their bond centuries ago.
