Beautiful work! I really love the textures, it gives a very distinct feeling of old woodblock illustrations that's so lovely. Also the contrasting colours and tones to reflect the perceptions of the characters and how they're shifting! 👌👌👌 Speculating on the symbolism of the video- I'm sensing that Firewatcher had a very different upbringing to Hoarchaser and that is likely serving as a basis for a lot of resentment from him to Stoneberry and his younger brother :'D I remember the updated voiceclaims video states their mother, Stoneberry, was leader of their group and eventually passed the role to Firewatcher. So if she was leader during his childhood, she was likely splitting her attention between him and their community, which would likely be exhausting for her! And even if she is a genuinely kindhearted soul who wanted the best for both, perhaps a result of that was she inadvertantly left Firewatcher feeling like an afterthought/ neglected? Whereas she was able to give Hoarchaser her full attention because she stepped down from the position at that point. A very tragic basis of conflict indeed :') (edit - might've mistook Firewatcher for Stoneberry haha oops) The scene where the darkness shifts from Hoarchaser to Firewatcher is my favourite, like Hoarchaser's own resentment shifting outward and darkening his once positive perception of his older brother 👀 Looking forward to seeing the new direction you're both taking this story, loving this so far! 🌻 (And not sure who that spooky kitty at the beginning is but 👁️)

Whoa, the style here-or really, the variety of styles-is so unique and fascinating! You always come up with such creative aesthetics for your videos. I love the design motifs, the flowers and the decorative borders. And the variation between aspect ratios and color schemes-the black and white versus the papery sepia. I went back to rewatch The Call and I see the recurring squirrel and rat were foreshadowed there; your use of (prey) animal symbolism for your characters is so interesting.
