I find it fascinating that Padpaw doesn’t seem too happy with this resolution. You’d think that seeing her murderer be given justice is what she would want, but she looks anything but happy. Perhaps her time in the afterlife has allowed her to reflect, and to see that things aren’t as black and white as she thought they were.

Yeah that, and maybe she realizes that she was the one to push Birdheart too far. I can imagine Padpaw regrets her poor treatment towards the disabled she cat, and that there could have been a way to prevent her fate. Not to say Birdheart shouldn't be punished, though! But even then, I hope Birdheart is accepted into Starclan at some point.

Star Tribe infuriates me!!! How many normal cats they expelled, and how many freaks they accepted!? if I don’t see the battle of Living cats against Star cats, then the franchise is dead for me!!! 😡😡😡

I've greatly enjoyed all your work up until now, having come across Dear Friend Across the River first. The atmosphere, detail and emotion behind each and every entry of Birdheart's story is amazing, captivating and so very sad. And, I hope I'm not misreading her expressions, but I was especially taken by how Padpaw reacts to Birdheart's fate. She shows confusion and uncertainty followed by what seems to be to be a call/plea to Birdheart. I absolutely adore this detail; Padpaw was still cruel in verbally abusing a clanmate, especially one who was isolated and struggling. But now it really confirms that it was out of childish immaturity and lack of empathy, not because she was a fundamentally malicious kid. And if Padpaw gained empathy and maturity through her death; enough to feel some kind of discontent for Birdheart, the cat she hurt, and was fatally hurt by, being sent away. That's just extra sad and tragic... So yeah, great story! Looking forward to art you make in the future :D

well here we are I have no words to be honest but I will try- it was an incredibly elaborate and interesting story, with really memorable characters and situations in fact, the formula is simple - disabled cat thrown into society and I know that I will remember the story of the birdheart's for a long time, it was an honor to follow it from the very beginning moment where froggyheart pulled away and birdheart stopped, is as strong as the rest of the animatic. at the moment with the piano, no joke, I started to cry, it's so sad and epic as if my favorite series ended your channel evokes emotions and this is the main thing. I am so proud of you

wow- the amount of thought in Birdheart's entire story is amazing. I notice she's called Halcyon on her Toyhouse, and the double meaning of a past period of happiness and a kingfisher is just astoundingly well thought out and beautiful!! Ooh the way Froggy breaks down crying ;(( I really love how Jenny is the final song for this part of the story - I'm pretty sure you used it in credits for a few other animatics, as well! One might say it haunts this story)) Padpaw looking so thorn and screaming for Birdheart when she is pushed!!! I want to kiss her little head. It seems like there were Padpaw (and probably Bird's?) relatives in the crowd, and it makes it all even more tragic! Also, the way both Rainsting and Froggyheart seem to distance themselves from Bird and the trial - either because they are too conflicted to take any sides or because there is nothing to be done anymore. Hope Halcyon will reunite with those who had loved her the most!!

I dont think she wanted to kill herself, in the video "JULY" you can see a kingfish at the end, who killed her and I think the kingfish represent a real cat, we just dont know who it is yet. And yes Padpaw in 1:11 doesnt seem happy about Birdheart's exile, I guess Padpaw realised how bad she treated Birdheart and is now sorry for it. The other cats however like Birdhearts best friend and her mentor just cant forgive Birdheart for what she has done.
