Yeah, fun fact gay would not mean homosexual until 20 years later and would start out as a slur. Stemming from the fact that it originally meant happy but leaned toward it in a Carefree almost ditzy sort of way. at the time of this movie, “queer” was the main term besides homo. But it was rarely used positively as *_its_* original meaning was strange.

I mean. When I was around 11 years old I had a crush on my friend of the same gender. Being gay is not a 18+ thing my dude… and if you tell a kid about gay people they’ll just say “oh that’s possible..? cool!” (…or something along those lines..) and will go right back to playing or doing whatever they’re doing. It won’t corrupt them. It won’t confuse them. It just makes them more accepting n nonjudgmental n less likely to jump to hatred of things they don’t understand Anyways your homophobia is very much evident But gah !!
