Okay so let me see if I got this straight cuz I've never used one of these before, but I have ordered one and it's one its way. A couple questions if I may... - Can you only record like, guitar tracks on this thing and that's your loop? Or can you plug it into your PC and upload other stuff for it to loop, like say... a specific drum or guitar track? - I'm guessing from what I've seen that the thing can play more than one loop at a time...?

Thank you for this review. I'm a noob and this is my first pedal. Every other video I've watched, no one actually explains how it works. This really helped me feel comfortable with using this pedal and understanding its functioning.

The fact you can do all sort of time signatures, record the drums, fade out, quantize downbeat to drums (with or without them in the mix).... well are those features are crazy. I'm buying it as a drummer and beatmaker. It doubles up as a pro metronome which is crazy

It's a bummer that the drum machine doesn't have Reggae beats. I'd rather have that that several of the genres included.

No way to stop a loop right after creating it you can only start it when the loop is finished .......sometimes you want to create a loop and hit stop and start the loop when you go to a lead break. When you hit the dedicated stop button it automatically starts replying the the loop ......the dittos and korgs both have a stop feature if it had that id love it but it is ultimately just a fun toy and not suitable for live performances ......the fade out feature is pretty cool though

I wanted to try the boss 500 or the 600 for the 32 bit and usb interface, but they are both WAY , WAY too complex and tedious, for my taste. I many give this and/or the Flamma FS21 a try.

Not a fan of tap tempo, but I see it has tempo-select which is great. No usb? Thanks for not doing a 30 min solo, you showed most of the application features, what I needed to see. I'm looking at this and the Flamma fs21, but so far no one wants to show us in how to use it, they're all doing 30 min solos instead lol.

"I'll just let you search online for that information about looper functions". Yes, that's how I found you dipshit. Way to pawn off your duties. An instructional video means you go through the basic things like function, what you and other mills do these days is just record you doing what you were gonna do anyways and then post a video of what you normally achieve (very little). This isn't an instructional. If anything it's just you showing off initial excitement with a new unit, before it eventually makes it's way to a dusty attic as you probably won't play it much longer than 7 to 8 months. I use to think I was being nitpicky until I realized you're all doing it and it is annoying and misleading.

Nice review. I’ve had a couple of loopers but this one directly fixes a couple of issues I’ve had with those other brands. The two separate tap buttons on the bottom of this unit are great as well as the ability to record the drums along with the loops. Common sense design to lessen the learning curve so more time and effort are spent on creation 👍🏻

Question about the Donner Circle- If I'm recording/dubbing in say Memory slot 1 and it's playing back, am I able to then record to memory slot 2 while 1 is playing?

I have this going thru my effects loop but when I switch to dirty channel I get a bunch of interference and unnecessary noise. It only seems to work good in the clean channel. Any advice?

Hi Joey! Good question, I did not use an effects loop, just simple chain guitar->effects->amp and it worked great. Can’t really comment on the issue you’re facing. It’s a bit more money of course, but I find the Boss RC-5 to be a much better option and came out after I published this video on the Donner. Boss and other more established producers probably have more consistency across varied usages (I.e. effects loop etc).

Loved the video ...very informative ... If you find any more information or have any insights about the external foot switch and capabilities that would be very helpful ie... function ( as far as switching from one recorded loop to the next ) ... compatibility with other looper switches ... or if Donner actually sells a product ( I haven't seen anything on their website ). Thanks !

It would be a great pedal if it had a separate out for guitar and drums, I dont want drum sounds running thru my guitar amp.
@rolanrivera6370
@rolanrivera6370 Жыл бұрын
Does that means that drums will sound with distortion if you use some?
@aaron9142
@aaron9142 Жыл бұрын
@@rolanrivera6370 Only if the drums are before the source of distortion. If it's after the source of distortion it should be fine. I use a similar pedal last in chain of my amp's effects loop so it's after my distortion pedals as well as after the amp's distortion.

I use it through its own amp with the rhythm I make being mostly clean. And then switch to a different amp to play along. But I also use AKG wireless systems on each amp. Makes switching easier and faster
