Yes, that is where I live. There are so many lighters because they don't get ground up into microplastics like the rest of it. Lighters are built to contain compressed gas so they're incredibly strong. Same reason why there are so many shoes on the beach; the soles of shoes are made very strong.

I ask because in what you called the farang ghetto of Hua Hin, one issue of being in the ocean there is jellyfish. Why one always keeps an eye on the locals, as in, when they leave the ocean en masse so do you. You don't seem to have enough locals in the ocean to make that work but no problem if few to no jellyfish. Anyway, thanks again for your reply and good to see that you're enjoying your older years. Almost forgot, but in your one vid you relate that part of the year when the wave action on the shoreline means difficulty getting down onto the beach. Haven't truly thought about it, practically/ mechanically, but ever thought of using those lighters and some superglue to make a ladder? I mean, sure, you could buy a cheapo ladder, but what fun would that be? Sure, you'd need replacements, what the UV on the superglue, but it has to be possible, as in, nothing in the immutable law of physics says it's not.

@@paulhicks7387 There are many jellyfish here; that's one reason the turtles come. Jellyfish are the only animal protein in their diet. The fishermen who wade out to set their nets cover themselves from head to foot. I do not swim in any natural water. I'm okay in a hotel swimming pool, but any water I can't see the bottom of terrifies me.

Thank you. I took a three-day vow of silence in August and it did me a world of good. I think I've told all my stories about Thailand in the 90s. The Boontong's videos were just too much work. Ditto the variety show format. This doesn't feel like work at all. I'm pleased you like it.

Usually Tim's show on sat I can't watch the whole show it's so boring but with you in it I watched the whole show and that also from 3.30 in the morning.
