To answer the question about the Absolute drink bucket Where is Paradise Beach, Thailand? Patong Paradise Beach is around 5 km southwest of Patong. Head south along the last stretch of Patong's Beach Road to Amari Phuket, before taking a left at the fork and going past Baan Yin Dee. Drive past the entrance to Tri Trang Beach Resort, pass Merlin Beach Resort, and follow the road to Emerald Bay.

beautiful beach- i miss it - you're a lucky man, Sateep. Waves breaking this close to shore makes it look like it gets deep pretty quick, therefore not a beach/swimming friendly place which I think, is a blessing as well.

Wow! So many questions as this really intrigues me. I watch you on Grumpy Old Men and so I was glad to see you start up this new channel. First of all, your intro and ending music and drone work is fabulous and quite catchy. I knew you collected objects on the beach and used them for art but never really knew what it meant. This now helps. One of my many questions - how did you first know the plastic bottles were filled with piss. By opening one yourself a long time ago? Or were you warned? The sea is amazing and how it treats “trash” is an education in itself. Until June….be careful out there.

I am also a connoisseur of trash and scraps and turning them into something beautiful and useful. I hate things going to the landfill. But I will say I would like to see you pick up the straws because I've seen a few different videos of turtles having straws shoved way up into their sinuses I don't know how they do that but for some reason they take a curiosity to a straw and end up in terrible pain and Dire Straits. You are living the life I wish I had the ability to do that but I just can't leave my grandchildren. I love to see different places and different cultures

Very good Steve, that beach looks very interesting, i love that Andaman coast of Thailand.. do you know what the local fishermen are catching other than krill.. most of those lures are squid jigs, if they are good nick might be worth hanging onto, have you ever heard of tiger sharks of the beach there? I’ve searched but can’t find anything really.. also those whistles look very much like those on airline life jackets 😮🫡

Great vid, Steve. Very informative. Your knowledge of all things Thai after such a short time is impressive. I've lived here for over 20 years and still learnt some new things from you. I visited your beach in Feb 23 and loved it. The water was so clear. Now I am located in the Gulf of Siam on a similar beach next a NP. It will be interesting to compare notes. Have fun! :)
@TurtleBeachThailand7 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comments, but "such a short time?" I lived here from 1990 to 1997. Before I came I read every book on the Thailand shelf in the NYC public library's 42nd Street branch. I went every Saturday for a year to the Thai temple in White Plains to study Dharma, Thai language and meditation. I wrote five books about Thailand. Then I went away to raise my children in America, but every day for twenty-five years I dreamed of coming back. I came back two years ago, but I've been here in my head since 1988. I've forgotten most of what I knew because now I'm old. But there's a little bit left in there, the dregs of my Thailand education, that I'm happy to share. Happily, sometimes what I remember is correct. Often not. But I'm going to keep on sharing regardless because I enjoy the attention.

Question- Have you seen and recovered any Lego? If so what have you done with it? Thank you 🙏
@TurtleBeachThailand6 ай бұрын
I find a fair amount of the cheap knock-off "bricks" that are sold here in Asia. I've got a basket full of them, all sizes. Nothing that looks like real Lego, although I've found three real Lego figures, a fireman, a construction worker and a very sand-abraded Batman. I used some blocks on my Steampunk Turtle. They looked okay, but mostly for the texture. I'd attach a photo but YT does not allow that.

I’d love to own a home with lower walls with these draped inside and out-can’t deprive the neighbors! I can’t stand people who disturb nature and creatures so I understand protecting them! I’m similar to you in many ways, dry-cough cough-humor, comments made factual others call negative lol. If in my final chapters here, that burns MY cookies is ‘to’ vs. ‘too’, is all to be concerned with I’m good!🤨😂😎thanks for sharing important history too!!! Cheers! See ya around🙏🏻❤️ps. Grew up Houston Tx going to beaches Galveston etc, we had ‘tar’ blankets, shoes, pails, buckets, ice coolers; only used for that purpose-tar ‘balls’ everywhere!😱

The Usual Suspects. I get it. Great flick. I think the Mickey Mouse with the knife is the closest approximation to Verbal Kint, both in stature and the fact that Mickey with a knife is pretty scary - as Verbal was in the end. (I hope I am not spoiling the movie for anyone) I have been subbed on your main channel, as well as Tim's, for well over a year now. I watched these videos as I prepared for retiring to Thailand myself, which I did a few months ago. I look forward to seeing interesting content here. The hardest part for me would be not having conversations/concepts from one channel 'bleed over' into the other. Then again, I suppose your OCD might allow you to compartmentalize that well after all. 🤓
