the bat attack is easy to counter with the first nail just charge it and and then jump dash then release

For the dash-uppercut-flames move, I kept jumping to get a down-attack on him, but always got hit as a result either from the uppercut or the flames. It didn't occur to me until watching your video that I could get a lot more hits out of just dashing away from the initial rush, and avoid taking damage in return. It took me a few more attempts after watching this, but I was finally able to get him! So thank you!!

almost 40 hours in and only now realising that since the dive spell is also a physical attack, it replenishes soul as you strike (especially with mulriple enemies) making it the ideal attack strategy for this fight. thank you for the breakdown!

First few fights I tried doing him by myself and didn’t do so well, I watched this video, followed the attacks, and after 10 or so tries I beat him hitless by accident. 10/10 fight, most fun I’ve had in hollow knight up until now. I have to thank you, the breakdown on the vertical then jump up combo done by NKG is actually the final thing I need. It's the only attack I can't dodge perfectly, specially the fire rain at the end of of the attack. Your tip makes me able to consistently dodged that attack and win this battle. Now onto the Great Grey Prince Zote

How come when you fight them they are nice enough to stay on the floor, and with me they do the jumping attack 4 times in a row?? CONSTANTLY, I cant get 2 hits before getting jumped on...and even worse, one jumps the other rolls so there is no space to dodge. This fight is exhausting I swear...

This is the video that finally helped me beat Soul Master. Thanks a ton for putting this together and explaining all his moves in such detail. What really clicked is being able to stand in the center and be guaranteed time to heal during his pinwheel attack. That allowed me to relax and not have to scramble as much when I'd screw up, eat a missile, and panick.

the hollow knight is not hard at all, you just need to be all charmed up because of radiance

Finally! What i love is every time you try a boss you get a little better, suddenly it clicks. Happened the same with nightmare king. 82hrs 110%. Now to the final two pantheons. I’m off to practice grey prince zote….
