Excelente trabajo. Realmente el dueño los utilizó muchos años para gastar un acero tan duro de esa manera... lo felicito, quedaron como nuevos. me suscribí a su canal. Saludos desde Buenos Aires, Argentina

A lot of people dislike sharpening s30v I however find golden spydie done up s30v to be a fabulous sharpening steel. It responds of so well to a gritomatic Sic benchstones. I really take s30v to diamond or cbn unless it's a heavy reprofile or damage I'm correcting. Sic based abrasive stones and s30v is a match made in heaven. Yeah whoever was doing the sharpenings on it definitely thru some recurve in the blade because they was scared to sharpen up to the plunge because of the typical little unsharpened nub at the plunge spyderco always leaves... I really dont suggest doing a sharpening notch, I simply suggest sharpening up to the plunge to get that little nub out... with spyderco doing a straight plunge it buts up to the side of the stone perfectly so no need for a notch.

I did this to a Higonokami on a DMT Ultra Coarse stone, it wasn't any easier, I did it over a couple of days. Next time I'm trying the sandpaper method.

Wait so you are on your second stone and still cant shave hair?.. Says a lot about your “ professional” skill…. In my shop if you don’t split a hair or shave of your first stone then you are doing it wrong!

You have a bad place on the blade so it stops cutting...please address that!

Your video has given me hope. I am starting my first knife restoration project today on an old stag handled Hunting Knife I picked up at a garage sale this morning. Very rusted and Stag handle is extremely oxidized and very loos on the tang and missing spacers. Thank you for sharing your process. Very helpfull.

Hey Kyle. I don't have first hand experience as I don't live in Saskatchewan but I believe their winters are pretty vicious. They use a little salt on main hwys and in the cities but the main reason why they don't use a whole lot is because of the temperatures. On avg' their winter temps are much too cold for the salt to have any effect. Great channel. Take care.

If law enforcement ever asks us to open our knife, instead of "flipping" it open, we need to be very deliberate and open is slowly using your other hand to deploy the blade. Researve the cool flipping open with one hand to the basement hidden from public.

Bro, what the request means is get rid of the microbevel. Not only did you overthink it but you don't even understand what a scandi grind is. The Tops BOB is a scandivex grind but still has a microbevel that the customer wanted removed. This is the biggest 'miss' I've seen on knife KZbin.

Awesome, beautiful knife, I like it very much, though it looks more like a German WWII bajonet than a dirk. Classic dirks are follow-ups of disc-daggers and have a very pronounced, almost circular guard and pommel, as well as a pronounced palm-swell. Not a very traditional design, but beautiful. What did you treat the handle with? Copper loves to put on a green patina, without treatment it needs a lot of attention and maintenance to stay copperish and shiny.

Unfortunately in the UK we are suffering from a looney Knife culture resulting in many stabbings and deaths.Until steps are taken to reduce the distribution of these works of art their production should be stopped by Law.

I buy a $50 folding kuby knife, one of the best knives I've ever had and I use it for everything screwdriver cutting wire😮 keeps the licking and keeps on ticking😅... I believe I got it on Amazon, ceramic ball bearings is easy to take apart and clean and Lube. I also have a $200 I forget the name of the knife it's a popular brand, dial one sits in the drawer because it cost so much money I'm afraid to lose It or Break It
