Turned off comments on the last video of the cheap labor to build these. Got to keep those profit margins high and not let Americans build just buy. I guess it comes down to Integrity.

I'm just curious, but why not move the ballast further aft so you can have less overall weight but the same moment and CG? Edit: I'm guessing it was for ease of adjustment for testing purposes?

@lessharratt87193 жыл бұрын
I would like to see the cowling further redesigned to allow better forward visibility while landing and taxi. Here is a crazy idea for Bob. Place a lever in the cockpit that is similar to the flap lever but will when activated force the tail wheel down about 6 inches or there about. This would allow for better forward visibility. Could be used on the beginning of the take off run and then retracted after the tail comes up. Or not. Primarily used for taxi. Crazy???

Well, seeing as to how every vehicle I’ve bought that’s been made in Mexico (I’ve owned dodge and GM products) that makes me less apt to want to buy a plane that has its wing made there. Mexican companies don’t have that good of quality control. Seriously. Not trying to be a dick. But damn. At least spring for Canada (I’ve owned vehicles made there. Much better and they have first-world quality control.)
@mcjon773 жыл бұрын
You can always just buy the plans and build it yourself in the USA. It might add an extra 2-5 years to your build, but at least you will know that an American (you) built it.

They're riveted wings. You see a bad rivet, drill, punch, dress, pound. Watch the factory video. More than acceptable craftsmanship. Good jigs and tooling. All raw material is US sourced. The ribs are outsourced and hydroformed. And, unless you've laid down a lot of pounds with a gas torch, you're going to have a hard time laying down comparable beads. Even seasoned craftsman often regret not getting the quickbuild kit. This is optimized for construction in your garage, so there's only so many CNC shortcuts you can make. And what you pay for bottom-of-the-barrel labor in the US/Canada gets you top-of-the-line in 2nd world countries.
