I grew up with Joe's nephew. He used to let us swim at his house. I had loved SCTV, so I was constantly asking him questions about the show. He would answer every single one. RIP

Hey I'm installing this on my IBM 5160, all original, what settings did you put in the network setup window? I got the packet driver for my 3com network card [a real 8bit card!] Been using it with mtcp, anyway network settings would be sweet thx Nevermind worked it out derp, now this dang thing keeps telling me I got a parity error 2, ffs

It's been about 10 years since I posted this video. I can't recall off hand any difficulties, nor the settings for this program. One thing I discovered was that IBM DOS 5.0 is an excellent version. What I remember most during those days is that getting OS2 Warp to run perfectly took a long time and a lot of old books. Once you get OS2 going properly on a machine, you can pat yourself on the back. It was really a remarkable operating system.

I remember watching that series as a kid and then again fairly recently. I was surprised how well it stood. It was very much underrated.

I have forgotten where I got the collection I have (it's on my old mothballed PC), but I found this link: archives.scovetta.com/pub/fehq/DOSUtils/ where there is a zip file called "prompt" which has a number of different DOS TSR font files.

I was younger when this show aired. I remember the Cuda he drove and I remember this car but I didn’t know it was a dart I thought it was a GTX . In my excuse I didn’t know car that well then but I loved the show.

depending on wat season it was joe drove mostly Plymouth convertibles in all the seasons with few exceptions season 1 was a george barris olsdmobile tornado convertible all the cars were convertibles!

Attempting to shift into Park can have it's limitations. Was driving my own Sixties vintage automobile recently going down one of those super steep hill in San Francisco. While shifting to Neutral I accidentally hit either Reverse or Park. A mistake I'll never make again. I could a sworn however that it did begin to stop the vehicle. Although was making a nasty crunch. They just don't.make 'em like they used to! Especially that C-4 tranny they once put into ten million Fords.

Pretty slick how the car had the means to brake rolling back after coming to the stop. Got to love those reverse brakes. Got them on my rides. Love the Mannix show. Still watch these days on METV.
