I swear, Pete, you must have hundreds of figs that I’ve never heard of!My question is how are you finding and getting hold of them?

According to you which are the best variety of figs? Please recommend the variety names

I put a handful of tobasco peppers in the pocket of my basketball shorts. I forgot, and that evening rolled over and basically cold press extracted chili oil onto my nutsack 🧨🧨🧨🔥🔥🔥

I live in Fairfax County, Virginia and plan on moving down to south-west Virginia. Question: Why in the world would you leave Virginia to move to California (of all places). I guess you didn't get the memo that everyone is trying to get out of there. Anyway, I enjoy your fig knowledge... was sad to hear that you left the area. Good luck!

Which figs UV had for 3-4 years and now rate them as they taste as mature fruit and still love?
@FigLifedotcom19 күн бұрын
I moved to CA the year after I made these videos, so I don’t have any follow up info

Have you tried the pollinated version of these vs the ones you love to see if maybe is that improving the flavor?
@FigLifedotcom19 күн бұрын
There is no pollinator in VA. The climate in VA is just not good for this type. It is a top tasting variety in CA

What are your top 3 figs for flavor?

Adriatic JH, CDD Gegantina, White Madeira #1 were good for taste in VA

I had a pond dug for a similar reason--orchard and veg gardens. Thing is I had it tested and it has lots of ecoli. I did some research on it and decided not to use my pond for irrigation based on what I discovered. Concerns include parasites, pathogens, heavy metals and more. Does this concern you? I think regular testing would be prudent once established. Just wondering if you've considered it.
@FigLifedotcomАй бұрын
I should probably test for bacterial and heavy metals at some point, but I doubt there is an issue. The irrigation water comes down from the mountains in canals and it is commonly used for agriculture here. Mine doesn’t come direct from the canals but it’s only a few properties upstream.

Great video, what’s the brand of your fountain for the pond?

Thanks. Kasco VFX, 1/2 hp, 120V. I got it at Amazon but there are many retailers. It is a fairly popular model.

Dig your new set up near Sacramento. I'm in Trinity 3.5 hours north with 40 varieties I greenhouse. And other rare fruits. Loquat, lila avo, 5 kinds of poms. Pineapple guava, muscadine and concord grapes and various hardy kiwis.

1 of less than a handful of videos on this variety up on the web. Did you keep growing it up until your move to CA? did it get better after the 1st year? I ask because the videos up on it seems to be from 1st year trees and say the same thing, surprisingly not a berry fig not very sweet but a sugar fig with mild berry tones. Any insight would be appreciated

I think I only had one year with it in VA. I’ll grow it again in CA but I’m still working on getting everything setup here.

I’m a beginner at this fig hobby and have checked out many of your reviews. If anything, how about giving the specific fig a 1 to 10 taste rating and show how prolific the tree is? That would give us viewers even more of a detailed description than you always do. Great job and awesome photography!

I’ve compiled thanks God a list of what would be all types of figs and so as not to be overwhelmed: taste should be important and seems that after all these collections still end loving black Madeira in them. So not to confuse you: 1 black madeira 2 colonel littmans black cross or clbc if it rains a lot where you are frequently every week or much at once. This is a smaller black Madeira close it seems. 3 if you want to know the full summary that I’ve done...
