Legit question and maybe I missed the answer in the vid, but why didn't you use any underlayment atop the plywood? Also, TY for your post regardless of all the comment complaints... IMO, there's plenty on KZbin to gather tips & tricks for a better grasp on DIY projects like this, but everyone has their own sworn by method and to each their own method. This is a job I'm doing now 1st time and it's definitely a challenge. From upstairs toilet flange fastened to only 1 joist and the unbalance over time caused a major water leaks flange straight down through subfloor layers down to my basement bathroom ceiling where it was showing the initial signs of warping and bubbles pooling in the drywall. So, a lot in hindsight I'd have done differently but there's only one way to do this job 1st timer or not AND that is to just do it... stop over preparing like I did, and make some mistakes because you will anyway. Due diligence in research and then trial and error, whomever doesn't give you the answer you want doesn't matter for your situation, just move on... there's plenty.

wood? that will rot plus you never want to caulk around a toilet.

This videos is super helpful my only problem is the amount of ads I have to skip 😢 and I get it that’s how you get money from the video.

The subfloor should have been installed in two separate pieces around the flange allowing you to slip subfloor under the flange so it can be secured to the subfloor.

Also when you turn them off, do you have to do the same sequence again every time. Or will they remember the code?

Thanks. Considered getting a new unit but they don’t make it anymore even though it’s a ‘20. Would have to retrofit a new one. So had a welder weld the aluminum tank at work and pressure test for nothing. Forgot to drain the hwh, big mistake but got lucky. One thing I did was take pics when disassembling. It helped when I got the tank back a month later.

I have the same pump, same 2 return hoses but I have a skimmer. It’s been fine for years but I switched up the hoses and now I don’t know the right way. So I have one on the pump which is connected to the connector that lets the water in the pool, the pump hose is connected to the shut off T, I have the 2 hoses from return, plus the skimmer hose, I have another T joint and one extra hose. Can someone help please I’m going crazy trying to remember which T joint was the skimmer connected to. The pump is correct it’s the return hoses and skimmer that I’m confused about thank you

I am viewing this post again after 4 years has past. There are too many mistakes. 1. I don't believe you used 10 gauge wire in the conduit. 2. The receptacle you installed on the post near the RV is incorrect. It should have been a 30 amp receptacle for RVs. You are suppose to plug in the 30 amp plug from your RV into the 30 amp RV receptacle. When you run your AC unit in the RV, the draw will heat up your 12 gauge wire causing a possible fire because the 30 amp breaker won't trip.
