Whenever you get a new material (anything that says "material" in its description) you should ask the guide what you can craft with it, then craft any materials you can make with it, and ask the guide what you could make with those processed materials. Ask about cobwebs. That's the start of making a bed.

Dont forget, you can give an item to the Guide, and he will show you every thing you can make out of it and what recipes there are

That Crimson generation is kinda insane

There are chests in the ocean and one in that desert pyramid, and the guide is a guide, he suggests what you need to do next sometimes and he shows you every possible crafting recipe with the item you put in his menu (and he's the key to a glitch involving achievements lol) but most importantly, make platforms. Not only can you place them down for the arena like you did, you can just place them on walls and they will help you immensely with traversing the map (screw ropes). Jump up place one under your feet basically. Also since you're on classic there's a lot of drops you're locked out of from early bosses such as the infamous shield of cthulu which is an essential item until almost the end of the game. But classic difficulty means you might not even need it anyway XD And finally a lot of people don't like using the wiki but this game isn't really friendly to newbies, heck there's apparently a housing tutorial on the menu I've never seen before, but yeah I'd say that's probably the one thing you'll want to look at above all else, there's a couple basic videos on youtube to get you started and to understand the housing menu button. Get the guide and other important npc's to move in.

Fun fact, the lantern at night happens when you beat an event or a boss, happens every night after you beat an event or boss.

I didn't watched the video to the end but there is a tips from me: 1)after defeating brain of ctulhu, you can craft crimtane pickaxe, and after that, you should go really deep underground, there is something cool))) 2)if you find gravity potions, you should use them on surface and go in the sky, bc as angler said, there is an islands(spoiler: with cool loot) 3)you explored left side of the world? Then explore the right side too, on the right side also some content awaits! 4) in this game, there is soo much NPCs, soo build house for only one npc is bad, make houses bigger and place more chairs and tables soo more NPC's will come. 5)as i said in tip 4, you can make houses bigger and more npcs will come in, but there is also one cool mechanic: if NPC will be in his favourite biome, you will need less money to buy something from him, soo.... Yea And that's all tips i can give to you.(Also sorry if i made a mistakes in some words, bc my english is suck)

Hello! If you want minions help you with combat, you can craft a summon staff (yeah, it's for summoner class but it's really helpful). With your progression, you can craft a "Flinx Staff" by going to the Ice Biome and unaliving the white turkey looking things called "flinx". You need 6 flinx fur and 10 gold or platinum bar.

If you want to build cool bases, you can use tutorials by Khaios! There’s also this guy who has tv in his name (I dont remember the full name) who has a very nice stairs tutorial.

Unlike Minecraft, the traveling merchant here is actually useful, you should check them every so often

A few tips in case no one else has mentioned it. Potentially vague minor spoilers. 1. You can use items from your inventory by left clicking them on the screen outside the inventory while holding them with the mouse. Right click drops the item. 2. The reason you have been randomly using healing potions is because they have a quick use hotkey. 3. There is a housing management menu if you click the house icon next to your equipment. When it is open you can see which NPC inhabits which house and also choose where they live. Right clock on an NPC banner to remove it. 4. If I had a pet shark pup, I would probably name it Wilson. Just gotta find some bait..

here's some tips for you! When fairies don't show loot and just follow you, that means that there isn't any rare loot near by such as platinum/gold, heart crystals and chests, also when there isn't any rare loot near by there isn't a quiet flying sound coming from the fairies You should try finding Silt (from the caves) and fossil (from the underground desert) and use them in the extractinator to get ores and gems

I'm going to sound rude, but please just pay attention to the text logs and your own inventory, every time you break an orb/heart in the corrupted biomes it gives you loot, you lost the loot of 3 hearts because you broke them from afar using bombs and didn't go there to collect, also you get crimson ore from killing bosses, and it's stronger, better and easier to find them platinum. Also read what each merchant sells and give a look into their inventories, some are garbage, most are, but some are so useful that life without them would be unplayable, one of them is the first merchant, you had access to him the whole time and choose not to look to what he sells Take your time reading things inside the game, it's no a spoiler if it's right there, and you just overlook 3 times

I'd say you got kinda unlucky with the ore generation since you got 3 veryu similiar in color ores, had you got bronze and gold it would have been way easier xD As others said in the first episode, when you loot a chest, take the chest too, you will need A LOT of chests with all the items in the game If you are falling, you can use your grappling hook on the ground to avoid fall damage (may need a few tries on a small height for practice first though) "thank god it was another travelig merchant, i'd thought god summoned itself" fun fact, after you get enough heart crystals, if you don't summon it yourself, the first eye of chtulu will spawn itself xD also, since you haven't done yet, check the shark item you got last episode and try to equip it, you will discover another feature of the game (and doesn't take inventory slot, like the hook)

1.5k hours in Terraria, I'd say it's pretty cool.

As you might have noticed, interacting with npcs gives you random but interesting dialogue. Sometimes the npcs may also comment on events that happen (such as blood moons). The guide also offers many random tips on what to do next with the "help" button as you progress in the game. There's also a bestiary book for keeping track of things you've been fighting in the pause menu!

The potion you used last time was a teleportation potion (those are purple), which teleports you to a random point in the world. Recall potions (the blue ones) are the ones that send you home.

This series is so good! Please continue, I've been playing terraria for 13 years and watching you experience it blind feels so good, nostalgic and is really funny.

To make a bed and other furniture you need a sawmill to craft that you need to make a chain. Also if you place a glass bottle on a crafting table you can craft potions and if you put a chair next to it you can craft the pocket watch accessory.
