I think this is just a tester which coincides with the 80th celebration. If this goes well i could well see it leading to a full Thomas game produced by DTG. Diesel is only there due to him being a generic class 08 which is already in game but flying Scotland has license agreement’s which restrict the amount that could be changed with the original scans I imagine

Wow, grown men complaining about DLC that they don't have to buy if they don't want it. This DLC is to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Thomas the Tank Engine, and to give adult Thomas fans something to enjoy on a train simulator for consoles. Will the controls be "easier?" I don't know. But I know that this made me decide to actually GET Train Sim World 5 and check out all the other locomotives that the software has. So if you don't like the DLC based on what you see, don't get it. It's a simple choice. Let those that want to enjoy it do so and leave them be. Everyone has the right to give this simulator a try. Even Thomas's adult fanbase. One thing I would like to see in the future though is Anerican steam locomotives.

Wird Thomas and friends in world veröffentlicht und das ist doch nicht schlimm für ein Simulator es ist nur eine Lok aus ein Cartoon drin und nicht tausende also beschwer dich nicht es sind tausende andere Looks die auf echte Loks basiert sind aber bei Thomas beschwerst du dich bei einer einzelnen Lok aus einer Kindheit

Why should you even pay for something like that? Normally such content is just created for fun from modders and of course it’s free. I mean adding fun models in a simulation game is way easier than recreating a real engine/train with physics, sounds etc. Cannot believe that DTG really wants money for that. DTG wasn’t very smart with that.

There's a difference between modders in a bedroom doing a Thomas mod for fun, and running a video game business that needs money to keep running, and opportunities to grow and expand, what you love playing.

Its a pegi 3 rated game. Its a game. It replicates trains well, but it is a game. Its funny how people have issue with this and not the xmas route. They're both for a bit of fun. If you don't like it, just don't buy it and move on.

Thomas has always been in train simulators since the don of the existence of them since microssoft train simulator because its a dlc u dont have to buy it if u dont want too. But thomas has been in games and train sims for generations this is the first time its been done by the company that developed the game so of course its gonna get more flack and hate. Models exsist in microsoft train simulator, trainz railroad simulator and train simulator classic u just gotta find them via 3rd partys majority of the models are in trainz with a z.

Ima be honest, its timing is about right, thomas as a whole turns 80 on march 12th 2025, thats in less than 3 months from now, id say while others were hoping on somthing else, its just a smart choice to announce it right about when thomas will gain a lot of attention, its good publicity too
