BLS - Sam Beamon Drives D6515 At Swanage (Class 33 Driver Experience)

So the moment finally happened, After all these years finally i got to take to the controls of my all time favourite locomotive Class 33 D6515 "Lt Jenny Lewis" the locomotive that was the gateway for me into the life of a railway enthusiast.
This was a big moment for me, as a young boy i set myself a goal and at some stage in my lifetime i wanted to have the opportunity to work on and drive D6515. That goal was now achieved on Friday 11th October 2024, The crompton was attached to a rake of 4 coaches and we operated on 6N84 & 6N85 Swanage to Norden return.
The instructor and second man were extremely friendly and a massive thank you to them both for such a fantastic experience and to the staff of the Swanage Railway as a whole.
At the end of the video there is a small music montage/tribute to D6515. Once again a huge thankyou to the Swanage Railway for an excellent day and for allowing filming of the experience.

Hello mate well giving how popular they were this year being a sell out on tickets each time i reckon they would be silly not to do it again next year. So you may get your chance next year you never know.
