best repair ever, deserves to be in a punk band, I haven't gotten to the price part yet, but whatever it is, double it.
@googoogjoobgoogoogjoobСағат бұрын
It's a typo - that should read $4.99 - and I would want double just to take it away.

The affected speech doesn't enhance the video. Like, Sa-tin instead of satin or schtrings' shtrings(German pronunciation) instead of strings( which is English). Schaller is pronounced like that bc it is German not English. And the last time I looked we are all English speakers in America. I mean with the current prez who knows!

Kinda ugly?! Here I thought my grandpas old regal parlor guitar had the worst repair attempt. They should send it to Ted and see what he thinks.

That bridge Sugarbucker is way too close to the strings, that's why it sounds thin. I looked at the height on my Sugarbucker bridge which sounds very warm and clear, as well as the bridge pickups on all my LPs, and that Sugarbucker bridge you're testing is way too close to the strings. Look at 2:35 where the pickups were before you removed them, then look at 2:37 when you replaced.

It's un aboiding that this guitar has been refretted, but it's a shame that the frets are over binding.

Ten to twelve minutes, that's my favourite duration of an episode. So I can easily watch before work and do all the other things I do before work.

That's terrible! That thing is a mess. With Epiphone pickups? I wonder how much Gibson spends on cocaine? Cause they're on drugs.

Looks like a brass badass bridge. Circa later seventies early eighties.

5:48 my standard has this too. I wonder why they do that and don’t just finish the whole thing. It’s covered by the pickup ring, but still! I don’t think they do it on purpose. It’s likely some part of the manufacturing process maybe? I don’t know. Maybe it is intentional. Also, that studio sure has some quack to it. Very straty sounding.

The name Gibson can cause some people to over estimate the value of an instrument. Asking price may not always be a realistic deal. Fun to look

Other than that headstock "repair", that SG has a pretty sweet vibe going. Would definitely rock it, but not for $5k!

Why do we call this an SG? What's the difference between thos and a Les Paul in these years?
@angelomiles81578 сағат бұрын
Gibson has been making great decisions on models the last few years, giving the people what they want

To me it’s a shame the finish yellows and changes the blue to green. Does Gibson use this clear coat with the intent of it yellowing? I’m sure there are other finishes that won’t yellow with age.

Why not just remove the "repair" and fix it properly ? I'm a retired mega yacht builder. I could definitely fix it but $5,000 seems a touch pricey.
