How many of those 2003 Melody makers with a bridge were made the neck is really nice I thought it was scalloped but the are so freaking High God I am Dan in Batavia New York I collected a lot of things being on SSI you can't have money in the bank.... I also have the Paul Stanley Sovereign cheaper one but the case you will never find one a case like the original and it says silver tone on it is probably worth way more than that and I'd like to know when the first batch came out were they better and are they still making them I asked Google maybe I need to go to my guitar shop cuz I need to sell some guitars.... I sold my records that made me almost feel like my soul was gone

I can vouch for Reunion Blues cases. I use a Continental Voyager model for all my fly-in gigs, and it's kept my guitar safe from baggage handlers all over the UK, Ireland, Iceland, and Canada. I used to have a big Fender moulded case, but on one journey to London, its size meant it got jammed in Gatwick Airport's baggage system, bringing the whole place to a grinding halt. It was then I knew I needed something more manageable, and the Reunion Blues case was the answer.

@ That reminds me of when I started playing. My uncle had just passed and I found a Gibson lp studio in his house when we went thru everything. Figured I’d learn to play on it not even knowing the value or anything behind gibsons. Basically I started on a Gibson Les Paul and I didn’t even realize how nice of a guitar it was until I really learned how to play. Then my mind was blown, all these years I’ve sucked so bad playing a Gibson lol. Makes me laugh

I got a Reunion Blues full leather gigbag around 1980. It cost me $120, which was an ENORMOUS amount of money for anything related to a guitar case back in the day. That was a time when a used black panel Fender Deluxe Reverb could be had for around $250 - $275.

I got a generation 3 chainsaw case with my ebony 1985 Gibson Les Paul Studio Custom and I love it. I forget why Trogly says gen 2 are the best. The metal latches are far superior to the easily breakable plastic ones and the blue interior makes for a stunning reveal when opening it. Gen 3 all the way for me.
