I know I’m late, but does anyone know what happened to that engine?
@TrainsAreReallyCool4 ай бұрын
It was taken out of service several years ago and has been at Cass for a while. I'm not sure what they're planning on doing with it.

1:59 pause at the right time cause you’ll see the Prime-PM-733 E-Bell mounted on the top cab but it takes the normal bell

2:00: Are there any Alaska Railroad locomotives with the old paint scheme (The 2008) that are still operational other than the one in the video?
@brannadarlin5 ай бұрын
No that’s not the old paint scheme but the black and gold paint scheme is the old one that one was the new one but now it’s now they made a new one. The new scheme is like the GP40 and GP40-2’s

Too cool.....I really enjoyed listening to him again and I envy the train display. Very nice to see Mr. Prehoda! 5th Grade 1979....I always remember our desks being set with our backs to him and I may have been reprimanded a few times, lol. Anyway that crew of teachers at Sickman Elementary were the best! miss those days

Love the video. It’s with sad news to say Gary’s no longer with us the engineer. He sure was a great engineer and a very good teacher. Loved his whistle blowing too.
Now ya just need a nice layer of DIRT on everything... cheers guys

When I visited during an RPM meet years ago the center portion was not landscaped. I assume it must be done now. Is there video of that section? It is so awe inspiring, both on video and of course live.

1293 deserves to return to the cuyahoga valley someday since 765 has taken her place and has been going longer. Speaking of which I wonder what years 1293 went to the cuyahoga valley? The only years I know of was 2012, 2008 and 2009 too maybe?
