Too cool.....I really enjoyed listening to him again and I envy the train display. Very nice to see Mr. Prehoda! 5th Grade 1979....I always remember our desks being set with our backs to him and I may have been reprimanded a few times, lol. Anyway that crew of teachers at Sickman Elementary were the best! miss those days

One of the nicest, sceniced and operated RR on KZbin. The many model RR's are usually incomplete, toy-like and just run around a loop. No attempt at operation. Excellent work!

Thanks for the nice comments on my railroad. I love the operating sessions, don't do much on the scenery anymore!

Hi Bob, how are you? Thanks for coming by the CFRRM club yesterday in Orlando. It was real pleasure talking to you. Your layout is very beautiful and I noticed your using NCE. I liked those 2 - Fairbanks Morse H24-66's in the staging area yard. I would love to run my switchers in those yards. Thanks

Beautiful layout and really good explanation of some model rr operations principles (such as staging yards, car cards, etc.). Thanks!

"It is a moderate size railroad" (its in a room just slightly larger than your house.) lol. For one just starting out, it is just overwhelming. My railroad is going to be 5 x 2 and will have one turnout, service one industry. But with this, I can learn how to build a building, do landscaping, wiring, make trees, and roads, and a stream, how to weather. Conceptualize how to 'run' a railroad. At every point I am going to take a picture of the model with the sole purpose of having it look like the real thing. Until I can accomplish this on a 5 x 2, I'm wasting time and money on anything larger. Still, I look at railroads like this one in awe, and for inspiration.

For one just starting out, that's a very realistic way to look at things. I suspect that with your attitude towards the hobby, you will enjoy it for a long time. Wanting too much too early is an easy way to get disillusioned and lose interest. Post some progress reports from time to time and ask for comments. That way you can get more experienced model railroaders' input.

Don't be discouraged, I started 50 years ago with a small layout that was 4 x 6 feet. I learned everything related to construction, doing scenery, weathering and train operations from reading Model Railroader magazine.

wow, this must be the most hardcore model rail I have ever seen...

Bill Conserva ah, lighten up on the music bitchin' I have always had music playing during every train session since the 60s. But I'm sure YOUR videos are perfectly produced.....oh, you don't have any?
