AND you forgot to mention that this controller does not work with Traktor DJ for iPad, and that NI has seriously neglected Traktor DJ for iPad for quite some time now. Its very disappointing for me bcuz I love using the OH Z1 on iPad.😢

I found out that my old cdj400 decks work out the box perfectly with traktor pro 4 (pre mapped) so ive decided to buy the Z1 to control the mixer / fx section plus give me headphone cueing … the main thing im missing now is performance pads , but im sure i can map that to something with pads.

This Does work but the large waveform, key, and loop screen is not visible anymore - likely a slight error in printing it all

It’s very pretty and on many levels, extremely clever for its surface appearance of simplicity. However, even now, without an x1, it only does half the job my xone k2 does 12 years later which I use as a mixer and controller when needed. I can’t really see much reason to buy it if you already have a K2, though on that note, I’m getting to the point where I should probably buy a second k2/k1

Why would anyone want to buy another product to prepare stems when they have already bought Traktor Pro 4, which has stem separation now? TP4 is an all-in-one solution with a click process. The quality is compatible with Nuo Stems. I tried your demo, and it's too many steps just to make a stem, and the interface for NUO stems is not user-friendly! Plus, I asked you about using NUO stems with Traktor S3 Mk3, and you gave some ridiculous answers about finding a mapping for it. Where TP4 works with ALL Native Instruments hardware and no need to map anything. So again, why buy third-party software when TP4 is an ALL-IN-ONE solution, easy to use, comparable quality stems, and user-friendly interface? Despite processing time, it works, and you can do process stems simultaneously (queued) and without crashes most of the time.

I have the same features on a z1 mk1 just by remapping..the price is totally unjustified to me but still be a very attractive piece of equipment

Hi, have you try to do this directly into fusion ? instead of duplicating the screen capture for each UI element, create a solid, feed it into a transform node, duplicate mediain for each ui element you want, feed the solid transform node into the mask input. tweak the transform position and size to isolate the part that you want. then feed the UI element media in into an image plane, next to a Transform 3D, then into a 3D merge, into a 3D render then into media out. Add a 3D camera then feed it into each image plane to tweak the 3D view. for each UI element, duplicate the transform-mediain-imageplane-transform 3D. It's a bit complex to setup but one you have done that you can save that composition as a preset and reuse it for every future projects. next step is to create a macro with parameters to tweak positions and camera to avoid reopening the fusion composition each time you want to adjust things to your main camera recording. One other advantage is that you can animate each UI element to your liking, thing you can't really do easily with just effects. Best regards.

I have had a S8 from the beginning. because I liked the stems functions. but it was too complicated and too much work to get songs in stems format. now I use NUO-STEMS. with my S8 and I am finally happy, that is and was the reason why I bought the S8. I hope they make a new S8 Dj-controller and the stems can be controlled with faders and not with rotary knobs.

I mean, Im' a music producer, then I would like export my 4 stems from my DAW, then import them into NUO Stem to create the stem file for traktor to have the best quality audio possible. Pushing on the top of the bag is not an issue if you have your Decksaver on top of the controller inside the bag. This bag works great on the X1 Mk3 & The Z1 MK 2. The original bag that is now discontinued works great as well on the older controllers (even with Decksavers on them!). Thank you for the review and I always look forward to what you have to say.

It is not science to know what they have to do: 1. Support all brand controllers. 2. BIG, I repeat BIG controllers like S8 but with jogs, BIG jog wheels. Better stems workflow, 3. A standalone controller and maybe Z4 4 channel mixer.
