hi, ive just ,mapped my x1 manualy from tutorial, but theres a bug in x1 hw in mix mode, where it doesnt react on M1=0 on shift :/ have you found some solution? ive tryed my best but shift than blocks fx buttons to purple and not true on state in mix mode

Very helpful video even for people who want to map different functions it’s very helpful to see how Traktor mappings work. However, for this little piece of equipment I think 4 layers (Mixer, Fx 1-2, Fx 3-4, Stems), is just too much. You can easily get lost between layers when you are mixing . I would suggest people to get an external mixer and use that for eq instead of the built in and map the mixer layer to stems directly

This is exactly why I'm here. If I do this that means I leave the controller layer as it is and I'd still have easy access to the effects, correct?

As far as I can tell, you cannot map things to the other layers. The rest of the functions are useless once you map the X1 for stems.

great explanation, do you know how to do a 4 deck mode on a single controller? I would like just to change between decks without affecting the effects/stems buttons is that possible?

You will need a more complex solution with more intense use of different modifiers. E.g. if some modifier is X value > control deck A & its mappings. If modifier is Y value - control Deck B. Etc.)))

Hi, thanks a lot for this great mapping! Is there a way to add a function to turn the FX send knob of each stem with the corresponding X1 MK3 knob when holding shift and reverse?

Yes, it’s possible. But I doubt user experience would be nice. Because of “software takeover”. Imagine you turn the knob in regular mode when controlling effect to 0 position. You the. Switch to FX send mode for this knob, and you have to firstly turn it to the position where your FX send position is in Traktor on computer (e.g. 100).

Yes, that's not optimal indeed. Nonetheless, could you give me pointers to go about this? I explored the different options for custom mapping and couldn't find how to get the X1 to interact with the stem's fx send. Thanks!

1. Create two modifiers for Shift & Reverse buttons respectively 2. Use these modifiers when creating “in” mapping for Submix > FX send

I only have one X1 MK3 😅. Besides there is no Z4 (mixer) in existence to compliment that) and I don’t have DJM either 😅

@@DJNUO I actually just got two X1's (along with my Xone 96). I'm all about taking control of four decks... Haven't seen anyone do this yet and it would have been interesting see examples now especially with Traktor version 4 :)

Viable option 😅. Though, I don’t like that K2 don’t have pronounced “12 o’clock” position click on knobs(

@@DJNUO you get used to that and the loose upfaders as well. But my only gripe is using the cover as a base because it tends to slip around. It has no rubber feet. I had become a mapping Jeddi with the K2s. It's too bad the X1 doesn't have an option to map the other layers. That would make it more useful.
