I lived in Russellville, TN which was bout 45 min east of Knoxville. I lived there for bout 8 yrs. I'm a Lincoln Republican: Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger. TN politically is Completely Right Wing Extremist. I left in May of 2020 & before I left there were residents of Dandridge, TN Dressed up in Southern Confederate Uniforms with signs saying "Succed from the Union ". It's a Trump Maga Nazi State

Look like Arizona in the 1990s were thing were cheaper but everyone is moving here from different states and the small towns in the mountains where is cooler. Now you can not even buy a house and is just as expensive like California. Tennessee will start getting expensive as people from other States start flocking there.

The problem is real estate. People from California tend to really drive up property values. Causing property tax problems.

I was born and raised here in southwest Tennessee and I will never leave! We do travel but always come back home. There are so many beautiful places to visit, so many fantastic things to do and see. The list is endless when it comes to living in Tennessee. We don't hsve an ocean front but we do have the beautiful Tennessee river which people come through from all over the world to do the Great American loop. We get sailors from sll over the world who enjoy taking the loop. We have everything from small 28 foot Sailboats, or smaller, and all the way up to 60-70 foot Cattermarans We are a state that is part of the Bible belt. We believe in God and our Savior Jesus Christ. We have 4 magical sessons. Spring, summer, fall and winter. Each season is absolutely beautiful. We have noticed there are lot of people from California are moving into our state. I say your welcome but do not ever think your going to turn Tennessee into California. If that's the type of people and laws, you are expecting when you move here, then just stay in California! We DO NOT BELIEVE IN A SANCTUARY CITY IN OUR STATE OR OUR STATE ITSELF!

Hardin Valley is a great one. Its still pretty quiet/calm, and nicely centrally located between Oak Ridge/Maryville/Knoxville and the Airport. Great Schools etc. Definitely above average pricing, but not as bad as Bearden/Sequoyah/Farragut and Lakefront.
