okay, so some things which makes sense for this video and lyrics. 28 the title meaning It is the first song added to the the 27 original songs of the mixtapes(3 mixtapes each with 9 songs), hence 28. Also 28 grams makes up once ounce. So that's that. Lyrically the girl is one who got a little more involved and indulged in the life weeknd gives her. I use the word weeknd carefully because that is not the true abel just a character he potrays for trilogy. She invades weeknd's personal freedom when she misrepresents his sexual voyage with her as something more. Her involvement is troubling her because that means she might get to know abel and he feels weak when there is a possibility to have a deep meaningful relationship with anyone. Now did you have to tell your friends?- the girl represents the fans who were attracted to weeknd's mystery and why did they tell the world about his mystery. He gained a lot by this, but lost that mystery which was so significant to him. The video: Abel hates interviews and likes to express what he thinks through his art rather than interviews. That's why singing to answer or talk. He looks visibly distressed or uninterested throughout the video because of the video focused on the naked girls. The naked girls represent the mainstream media and fame which is so appealing from the outside to him but has some factors which make the people pursuing it miserable.
