Nice Phantom footage! Interesting to see a mini type drone a fairly near miss toward the end, but wonder what model it could’ve been in 2018. I’ve been here recently and nearly fell foul of the two hanging power cables beneath her!

I lived on Whidbey Island for 25 years before retiring and moving back to Oregon. I miss the island, the quietness, the birdlife, the slow pace. Sometimes I even miss the ferry which I rode to work and back home on weekdays.

it's very sad. this is the spot, but it's not what it was. the pools have been stagnant. it's good to see some water. the water has been stolen apparently. if you find y ourself in lahaina after 12/23 there is a L on the side of the hill, below which is an aqueduct that takes water from the rainy side of the island around terminating here...or rather, did. whatever has happened it is always the white man's fault. I got tired of being called haole. openly. it wasn't the name calling, it's being treated like it. it's asshole for the n word. love me some Florida. San Diego, Mexico, Puerto Rico... if you don't know who owns Pearl Harbor, look up irony. and by "owns, I mean the real estate surrounding the place, forgotten. like 9/11. and manners. and respect.

While the video is totally AWESOME, unless the drone pilot had an (unlikely) waiver from the FAA, at ~4:27 the FAA federal rule was violated with the drone flying over the moving train.
@CarryTheTruth

Well, that the vid was posted in 2018, 5 years ago, I do recall the FAA rule was in effect at that time such that drones could not fly over moving vehicles, especially trains being "critical infrastructure".

Nice look at the monument. Every year there are two volksmarches and you can hike up to the top. I did it in 1990 and it was a blast. The next two dates are Oct. 1, 2023 and June 1, 2024.
