Strawberry Fields looked nice and ripe for harvest. A little sad to see the exostrider getting destroyed, would have made for truly unique feature. Ok, so it is thick roof, put in a pillar or two to support it perhaps? And then enjoy the bug infestations. The weather this whole episode was heat strokes all around it seems. I also saw plenty of compacted machinery to mine components from. And with a lit fuse, we end the episode.

Binge watched your play through. And i’m not aware of the channel etiquette so i hope you don’t mind me saying this. 2 small things i noticed. 1. Farms. As you expected in one of the last episodes is correct. In this game you need to manage soil quality. It starts out at 60% and you improve it with certain crops and decrease it with certain crops. So you kind of need to start with “cover crops” to improve the quality too 100% and than you alternate between something that decreases and improves the soil quality. 2. The building upgrades you research don’t automatically apply to the building. Machine parts factories, moisture vaporisators, ect. All the improvements you research need to be added to the building at the cost of a small amount of resources. But yeah really enjoyable content. It’s nice to see someone still playing this game after all that time

You can do the same thing with an SRV. Set the camera to be well above the SRV and drive. I find scannable exobiology this way and it saves me much time. It would be nice if an SLF could land.

There are faster, more efficient methods for getting engineering mats. Also not seeing how being in a fighter is a value add since you cannot land when in a fighter.

Yeah I don’t see the point in it, it kind of works fine on the Python mk2 but it’s crap on anything else. The extra jump is minimal and the boost is just a stupid add on that is still not very functional or stable even on a grade 5A. So I will probably be the only Commander to stay with the old FSD but I don’t care.

I've got one in my Steller Python MKII and there's no issue's. Putting one in my 9 year old Python MKI and there's major issue's.

My ship is part Thargoid carcasses, part Guardian nanotech, part good ol' human steel and big sawed-off boomsticks, all souped up with hardcore redneck engineering and held together by duck tape, two-part epoxy, crossed fingers and a dash of good hope. And it's glorious!

I don't think it is original Thargoid tech. I doubt that the Thargoid stuff would be so easily to modify by our engineers with exactly the same mods like the old Sirius drives. If they didn't know better, how in the galaxy would they be able to unlock all these options that quickly?

You just explained why these new drives should result in a new kind of hyperdiction.

Put it on my AspX, engineered to grade 5, and with my Guardian booster I'm at 64-70ly jump range. Woo hoo! One push for 5 secs in super cruise and I'm at my destination. 🎉

im really interested what sirius comes out with. i wonder if SCO drives will be for local stuff like powerplay 2.0, and the new sirius drives will be for something else, like loooong range exploration. maybe they will be new drives, or they will add upgrade slots for the old drives? or a human version of the guardian fsd booster? maybe we will be able to stack fsd boosters? i dont know, but i expect sirius corp to have a strong comeback to achilles aerospace

Up to now you had these decent living quarters, but from now on, you live in huge barracks, those living quarters are a downgrade as accomodation, but you might have room for some communal entertainment instead?

I just noticed that the docking sequence in the beginning makes no sense what so ever if you consider the force vectors and movements. 🙂

When you speak of the dread, this is a throwback to the 20th century computer games that were much more unforgiving, even the simulation games like Civilization and the likes showed their close ancestry to arcade games (which are designed to end quickly so you add a new coin to the machine). Sure, you can lose in a new game as well, bust most of them are salvagable from a recent save.

Excellent video, i played this game for a few minutes 5 years ago and i promised myself to go back to really play the game but i never did... I'm just amazed with all the dlc and content the game have nowadays but at the same time it's a lot to take in, so thanks for the video. I have only one question... my steam account is in a different region and for me the prices are way lower: Base Game $8.34, Utopia $6.98, Leviathans $3.49, Aquatics $3.49, Overlord $6.98 (First contact $6.98, Federations $6.98) and the Subscription $6.79 monthly. Stellaris New Player Edition $20.94, Ultimate Budle $101.35. What do you think i should do? (For context i do live in the U.S nowadays, i just have my steam account since 2006 when i was living in my home country). Obs: I also have acess to the base game "for free" on my pc game pass lol but the dlc prices there are U.S Microsoft store prices.

The eerie music made me think this was a horror film - like you'd picked up a rogue AI or a disembodied consciousness or something.

I theorize that we'll be seeing some sort of CG in the near future featuring Sirius trying to beat Achilles. I hope for espionage/sabotage, perhaps with Alliance forces leading the way under Sirius' thumb as they try to beat Achilles down while pushing forward their own tech.
