Hi lyndon, I know it's a few years old now, but what's the purpose to no rim locks ? Purley incase you run into issues through a days riding and don't need the hassle of trying to faff with a rim lock ?

Lyndon, would you ever consider doing other races like this? film it and all? maybe less bikes. three bikes is what I have in mind. if you don't mind me asking, what kind of investment would I be looking at? also what would it talke money wise to film it? im very interested in possibly funding one of these in the future and would love to start a dialogue with you about it. I started following you on your last Dakar and was there for the whole Africa race while you guys were making it. I feel honored to have been there with you and thank you for filming it and producing in real time. im sure its a first when it comes to documentation. I've not seen anything like it. its always been a dream of mine to just complete a Dakar. you never know where things can go. just wanted to reach out. never now. I wish you the best!

Hey @lyndonposkitt, noticed that you used 10w60 higher viscosity oil instead of the recommended 10w50. Was it on purpose? Did it make any difference how the engine behave with it?

I was watching thinking....I recognise those trails. Having ridden in that area for years with Baz. It's amazing how the camera flattens out some of these hill climbs which are insane in real life. Even the ones that still look mad on camera. Kudos man and keep up the mad skills 🤘

This video is a 9.9/10. It would have been a 10/10 if Daniel would have pulled a wheelie on 13:30 ;) I think everyone here knows why I say that :P

If you leave the nut just barely on the valve, the tire bead will seat easier and more evenly plus you'll be less likely to pinch the tube. Just like you did on the rim lock. Excellent idea to use the "trough"/drop center opposite from where you are trying to get the bead over the rim.

I had the Enduristan tank bag on my bike for 80,000+ km through all of Europe and South America. Absolutely water proof, not a single drop ever came inside. Just got myself a new KTM for a soon to start RTW trip - and no need to get a new tank bag, as the Enduristan is still fully functioning. As I am very happy with the tank bag and convinced of the quality, I will buy the Enduristan Monsoon Evo saddle bags.

I like that 500s are "little bikes". Compared to most bikes I've ridden an EXC500 has a fair amount of go 🤣

You should do a video about how many miles you put on Basil, and how he treated for those 5 years. As a 690 owner I’d love to hear! Cheers.

Just working my way through the series with my dad as we are hoping to Iceland n Norway together :) had two 390s which we unfortunately had to reject with problems n im on an 1150 now. Loving watching the videos so enjoyable to watch, the really awesome information n advice bout turning round n stuff great to see :) Norden looks a great bit of kit. Probs gonna buy dad another 390 quite curious about those Nordens shame they dont do a 401.

All the Sports I liked got bought by big money and have fallen victim to financial interests. Dakar is one example. I do not like it anymore. Same for MotoGP and Rallye Cross.

What an amazing place Iceland is with it's lunar landscaping far from any form of civilization and nature, it's got to be a little intimidating wondering about on your own with all sort of challenges it offers terrain wise. It's not for everyone to be able to ride in Iceland, thank you for sharing Lyndon though it's a year old ?! Have a blast mate wherever you are
