I had the opportunity to ride the new 2023 Husqvarna Norden 901 Expedition in South Africa. I didn't have much time but I definitely made the most of the time I had. A proper adventure and I filmed it, here's what went down....

@@hANNAbONE Heck yeah! May lightening strike me dead if I lie. My dealer called me this AM heading out for work and said mine had showed up. Guess who didn’t go to work. It’s sooo badass. Cannot wait to actually jump on it. It’s the deal of the year for sure comparing it to the regular Norden. Check out big rock Moto for his 20 top ADV bikes of 23. Really cool i had a bad experience with two 390 advs let my suzuki go for two for dad an i so we could go to Norway together, an they both went back with issues at 147 an 269 miles for a refund, i was up in scotland yesterday looking at houses an wandered into a husky dealer loving the 901 really suprised me, an good to see its using an updated display rather than the 390 ones we had issues with :) might be time for me to spend some money on a husky/ktm again thanks for sharing.

This bike is an absolute steal. There's no chance I'd get the normal version if given the option to get this one. The suspension alone is more than worth the extra money

Hi Lyndon. I own the standard Norden and I was wondering if the opening in the Expedition's windscreen gets your phone or GPS wet while riding in the rain. I ask this question because I may order the Expy windshield for my bike. Great video by the way and thank you!!!

The suspension looks like it could use a bit of refinement compared to how well basil performed, hopefully theres ample room to adjust.

Husqvarna has really become fast at adapting to trends. They were quite successfull with their desert sleds and woods bikes, but seemed to hang on to their alu tank a bit long.

I never rode it in a lake 😄 but I like the feminine touch to the name, Noreen 👍 I have 36” inseam and leg room is ample.

I have an 890 ADV R and a friend has the normal 901, dont know about 901 EXP valving but the forks and shock are the same. 890 feels sharper and can soak up bigger bumps better, 901 feels ver comfy almost soft but you always still feel connected to the dirt, height difference is quite noticeable going from the GS that anothe buddy also has, the low center mass feel is quite similar, 890/901 feels way lighter but the engine is racier and sometimes roudy off road

901 is ok ish, but it's about 3k too expensive in the US at least at 15k base price for the expedition and 18k equipped like it should be at base. They should have gone with 12k for base expedition and 15k full equipped. Would have sold way more and been a direct competitor the Africa Twin. Right now no one is really buying these when you get more feature set and bike for the same price on other brands.
