what should i do if the socket comes off with the cable? is it fixable? do i seek professional help?
@jameshasanswers
@jameshasanswers 8 сағат бұрын
@@ok-hi3oy meaning the socket on the wifi card that the cable plugs in(on?) to? Are you able to remove the socket from the wire itself? If so, a replacement WiFi card is around $15 on eBay, or $20-25 on amazon (such as an Intel AX210) and you could just swap out the wifi card

Thanks. I was swapping a card, and it was way to hard. Turns out the old card terminal came off inside one of antenna cables. blocking it from going back on the new card. I knew it should not be that hard.

If by charge you mean what power supply it uses (as it doesn't have a battery), it looks like it's a 12V 1.5A-2A 5.5mm x 2.5mm adapter per www.seagate.com/support/kb/power-adapter-specifications-for-seagate-products/.

I have two of this same unit, one for my "TV wall" and one for my desktop computer. My desktop UPS recently failed the battery test and since both of my UPS's are about the same age, I ordered the 4-pack from Amazon for only 85 bucks, ~ 21 dollars each. I used to use the "APC" brand UPS and after a battery change, they would not "calibrate" properly the remaining run time since they stored the "usage data" in memory and prevented the new batteries from registering correctly the remaining run time. From the video it seems that the CyberPower unit will register a correct run time remaining after a battery change-out which is good news.... Thanks for the showing the process to make the battery replacement easy-peasy....

Does it matter which way the cables are fitted , I've got a 2nd hand machine amd someoones made a mess of both tthe connections on the module and the cables , the only thing holding them on at all is the little metal plate , its a Dell inspiron 5547 mine is set with the black wire on the number 1 terminal I struggled to get them back on and working at all , the machines never had good reception from the point i got it 2nd hand , I've just had to distrub everything to fit a new dc input port I'm thinking th best answer will be a new module and antenna's so would be handy not to have to try the wires to both ways on the module just to check things

Nice presentation. When I went to Amazon (official reseller for the OEM CyberPower batteries) to purchase replacement batteries for my 1500PFCLCD, it turned out the OEM CyberPower batteries for this unit were only $20 more than most of the 3rd party batteries. So, I decided to go with the OEM batteries for such a relatively small price difference. This was around Cyber Monday. Not sure if that made a difference as there were no "Cyber Monday Special" labels attached to the OEM battery. Anyway, I mention this for those folks who would prefer OEM batteries. Doesn't hurt to check the price differences of OEM vs.3rd party before hitting the "Purchase Button."

This is the first video with at least a close up of how to connect these ridiculously stupid designed m6 wifi cards. Either an absolute moron designed this or a money hungry pig hoping to seel wifi cards to replace this junk. I think its time to hit Intel with a massive influx of these old cards and just dump millions of them on their office steps. It easily easily the worst designed product in decades. Why would go from a very easily replaceable design to this complete crap Intel? Again thank you James was able to finally do it with your hint. Still took roughly 10 minutes for each other. But I didn't tear out the cables this time.

It's a pretty terrible design, especially when spade or ring terminals with screws would have been more secure. Dumber yet is the fact that Dell puts a small metal bracket held with a screw on top of the wifi terminals. Just put screw terminals on the wifi card.

you just need a 12v 9ah battery with 6.35mm spade connectors often known as t2 or f2 oh and the battery dimensions have to fit inside the battery space. they don't need to be the exact same dimensions. just close enough to fit. you can also use 7ah or 8ah but you would lose run time, 12v 7ah is like 780 watts

Great Job! Thank you so much !! Mine ended up being a little different. One bottom was laying down, and the top battery was vertical with a bracket that holds it in. The clips only attached to each of the batteries with a jumper to pos/neg between the batteries. It fired up and seems to be ok with the non cyberpower replacements.. I was getting an E02 error. I think the originals lasted 3-4 years maybe?? Take care.

I don't know how you managed to insert the new batteries in the UPS after the replacement. I tried to insert the new batteries in my UPS, with that plastic separator between them, and they wouldn't fit in the battery space no matter what, even though there was no empty space between the batteries and the separator. They had been placed perfectly. The only way I managed to insert them finally, was by removing that separator completely and just keeping the cables and the connector connected without it. Although the new batteries were 12V 9Ah SLA batteries too, it seems they were not exactly the same size as the original ones. I hope the cables are not in any danger now that the UPS operates without the battery separator and the upper battery is practically sitting on the connecting cables and we all know that both batteries get a bit hot inside the UPS. What's you opinion? Thanks.
@jameshasanswers
@jameshasanswers 2 ай бұрын
DId you order the same ExpertPower batteries linked in the description? Can you provide the measurements of each battery? As far as fitting them without the plastic separator, I think I'd only be concerned about the 'top' battery applying force to the battery terminals - not sure what sort of stress those can handle?
@TimestampMusic
@TimestampMusic 2 ай бұрын
@@jameshasanswers I haven't ordered the same batteries. I've been using CSB batteries for a long time, since the time I had bought my first UPS. I have used them with several UPS brands and I'm quite satisfied with them. I hadn't faced any size issues so far and I never thought there would be any. It seems Cyberpower is making the battery space in a way their own battery packs fit in exactly. They leave no slack for any slightly bigger batteries. I don't know why they make CSB batteries slightly bigger but they do. As long as the temperature doesn't have any impact on the connecting cables, like melting the insulations for example, since the temperature inside the room can reach up to 84°F during the summer months, I think the UPS should be fine. The pressure on the connectors seems to be OK. I can see they are in the same place so far.

I find some screws to be unnecessary. The front panel of your CyberPower 1500PFCLCD looks like (and sounded like) the front cover snaps in place, making the screws an unnecessary chore. I have a 15 year old APC Smart UPS, and I leave the front cover loose, which makes battery replacement easier. I watched this video, because I have been researching CyberPower units, because I am fed up with APC. Although my old Smart UPS unit is fantastic, I purchased three additional APC units 3½ years ago. All three have had failures. My last failure was just beyond the warranty period, and APC refuses to replace the bad unit. Their quality control, even for their Smart UPS line, is noticeably worse than 10 or 15 years ago. Reading reviews, there was a common theme of cheapness, and issues. And APC's prices are quite high. Poor design, poor quality control, and raising the price, is a terrible formula. CyberPower gets very good reviews from customers, and are more affordable than APC, which is why I will be making a CyberPower UPS purchase. I was curious about battery swapping. It looks reasonably simple.

How about the CPU? Is it possible to upgrade the TS-251 CPU?
@jameshasanswers
@jameshasanswers 2 ай бұрын
short answer, no -- long answer, I don't know for certain, but I believe the CPU is under the black heatsink in the middle of the board and is soldered down. Is it _possible_ one could desolder it and resolder in a different CPU? possibly, assuming you had the skill, _and_ assuming the board would be able to support a different processor. Also, you'd need to consider whether that same heatsink (or any custom heatsink you could make and fit in the same area) would provide adquate cooling, etc. Let's say you could, I'd argue it's not worth it compared to reselling this one and buying a used one with better specs

I have a 2TB WD My Passport (seems to be more slim than what you've shown) and I need to start remedying problem with it by replacing the female port (connector) which I have but can't seem to get the green control board off, even after removing the 5 visible screws. What next? Concealed screws somewhere? Seems it's being held on one side only by something & don't want to break it. I had tripped over the cord and it stopped working. I heard a "creak" sound when catching it with my foot. So: how to replace the connector (first)? Can you or someone help?
