Very nice! I bought one when they first came out and I got the two different mouthpieces. I think it's the low D whistle with the most flute-like tone. But the "pro" mouthpiece was a bit too loud for my taste. I put that one on a low F from Kerrywhistles (the Optima) which works perfectly. Enjoy!

I put the headphones on for this one. Like the tone and the tune. If you put a reed in that whistle would it be a clarinet?
@frankclaudy10313 ай бұрын
@@patricktibbits5475 not quite a clarinet. Whistles perform sonically like open tube instruments, like the flute, while clarinets act as a closed tube - so the partials are incomplete.

It's fair to say, I don't think these first ones are easy to play for most people. The Qwistle in my video "Drop of a Hat" is identical to this one in design, so it is at least possible for me to play comfortably. Seems I have a set of lungs on me (to be fair I'm sometimes called on in my family to blowup camp beds by mouth and that sort of thing), and Frank you must have a good air supply too! The Qwistles featured elsewhere on KZbin are of the later kind, it does take less air, but without losing the sound and the strength of low D. Took a bit of doing, that, and is unlike any other low D head. Happy to send you one Frank if you'd like, since you're still playing the Qwistle & enjoying it - just pm me your address & will pop one in the post for you to try. It's got o-rings just the same as the one you've got, should change out easily enough.
