How is the water proofing? Will it be able to handle snowfall? And what if it comes in contact with snow??

I've been wanting this jacket for over a year now but due to the lack of US market it has been hard to get. Was finally able to get it ordered through ebay. Looking forward to testing it out.

I don’t like that there‘s no cover for the zipper - like in many winter jackets. It seems to be out of fashion. I think it would be warmer and safer. If you have a cover with velcro, you can close your jacket even with a broken zipper

What is the manufacture date on your jacket? So you downsize two sizes?
@jtcberАй бұрын
Should I size down if I am just going to wear a baselayer and maybe a midlayer ? I wear medium in all Arc. I don't think this jacket is waterproof. It will eventually wet out. I assume $400 CAD is what you said. When was that? What is the regular price for this? I am also looking at the Nuclei FL. Is that good enough for Vancouver winter? I was leaning towards the Beta down or thorium sv. I will have to look into this one. Thanks for the video. BTW, Alpha Lightweight Parka and Alpha Parka look similiar but with down.

I came to refute my impressions Some years ago, like hmm 15 (I don't remember) Decathlon bought Simond. It was a very good French outdoor company, that actually was selling in Decathlon stores before they got it. As a mountain guide, i thought it was the end of Simond quality but far from it. Their backpacks are also epic. Rossignol (sky) and quicksilver (surf) has been producing gear for Decathlon, practically identical gear but with tiny superficial differences. Decathlon has extremely awesome gear for half the price or less. Some stuff is meh quality, but then you have incredibly awesome stuff like the 900 line olaian wetsuits, socks, merino wool.... I may venture to say that any 900 line product in decathlon is worth the try. You can always give it back easily (customer service is ridiculously firendly, in Spain you can use it 60 days amd give it back if you don't like it 😮) Im writing this wearing my Forclaz 900 warm pants from Lofoten (snowstorm tonight) and they're the best pants I ever had... Good bye trangoworld or mmut or meh , you saw my money enough. And they're under 100 euro... Thanks for sharing this video, gonna check the other :) Some ski gear is also invredible, amd overall simond gear is outstanding.

Agree, proton is their cream of the crop as well as some of their shells. I’d also include the nuclei and Atom lineup as well. Everything else you can find comparable elsewhere cheaper
@jastrapper190Ай бұрын
Just my opinion… but I don’t think those should be used for “walking”. Primarily you’re going to use them hiking in extreme cold to wear when the main wet footwear is off. So when you are in a tent or a sleeping bag you can have insulation on the feet. They can be worn around camp or to use the restroom but think of them more like a warm dry secondary pair of footwear for tent/sleeping bag. Not as “walking around” footwear.

It's so big because you ordered a huge size. A medium or large would actually fit you. Arc'teryx is designed to be functional. That is why the sleves are always long and they are cut high under your arm for unrestricted movement. Buying an XL defeats the entire design of this product. I am 6'1" and 185 lbs. I wear a medium.

You can't blame the lens to be blurry while handholding 1/10 shutters. Anything below 1/100 would mean you have to hold in your breath and time your shutters. Anything around 1/10 is definitely tripod territory

Great deal for the price -- especially for amateur outdoorists. Probably not the most durable nor feature rich nor made sustainably though as down-filled "puffy" pants and bibs from REI, MEC, Rab, Arcteryx, Marmot, The North Face, Patagonia, Cotopaxi, Fjallraven, Columbia, and the specialized boutique brands.

Hello, i have a Tamron 24-70mm f2.8 Canon G1, and i have a issue when i record video. The images " jumps" sometimes and I can hear the sound of aperture even though I don't change it, and also subjects appear with some red marks around them, like I'm manually focusing(it stops the servo autofocus for 1-2 seconds) . This is what happens when the image jumps. Plus the recording sometimes stops when the images jumps. . What could be the problem? The aperture, VC or the autofocus?🤔🥺 I used this lens on 2 bodys: Canon M50-my camera, and Canon Rp-from one friend.
