This begs the question, will human greed get the better of us? If you talk about mining an asteroid and the initial cost to doing so it would be possible to do it if ALL nations came together as one and made it easier for the initial launch to be a success. We would need to negotiate the portions of the raw materials distributed and would need to sign over a pact that implements laws into place so no nation or corporation takes advantage of this program. It has to be for the greater good of humanity. Which knowing our kind, it never ends well with one side always trying to take advantage of the other leading to other wars (space wars coming soon)

We shouldn't try to replicate a human, not directly anyway, it's a great idea to use it as a framework, a fast track if you will. Which seems to be whats happening anyway. But we're trying too hard to make it imitate a human when we could try to make an effectively new artificial species. even if we have major control over the species. An ai learns the in a simalar way to a human but it's way of providing and absorbing information is almost flawless and near instant. Break away slowly from the human like ai, into an ai like ai. One that has it's own benefit besides just being fast, it already does that in some occasion, like in chess. It has plays that are effective yet unconventional with a sacrificial queen at the start of the game. Give it odd rewards and odd negatives and see what it comes up with. There will be tons of duds but who knows what could happen.
