are you metering half of the time in wich exposure? It seam to bright.... The total exposure will be the add of the two exposures.

@ 3:08. My PocketWizard Flex transceiver doesn’t fit at all. The offset , focus knob is in way. What model do you use? Well, what offset cold shoe bracket?

Hey, does the mamiya use the hot show or do you have a cable going to the lens

Love the video’s! And smart thinking using a digital to do some testing. Afraid the Ricoh is above budget for me (saving up for the RB67). Any tips on cheaper camera’s that can give you the right info? Again: love these video’s! All the best from The Netherlands!

Also trying to figure this out. Olympus Stylus S1 has an app range of F2-F22 which seems good for around 200$

Hard to compare 645 to 35 mm :3 I think Mamiya is really cool camera. Give a tone of fun and Leica heh actually my m4 doesn't give me such fun but trully it is really good if we talking about build quality. Let's make mechanical Mamyia 645 ;3

You picked my 1st favorite. After a flash of that wasn’t already a given. I absolutely love the left hand L grips on any of my cameras. The Pro L multi angle for RB is awesome. Dual cold shoe to add Voigtlander VC or. I still use a vintage German self timer for each button screw in or cable release clamp on. If new to medium all together or the RB, then a load capable tripod & head to twice your kit More is better & even then a sandbag underneath helps. A flash meter but that’s maybe a given. I highly recommend a sturdy monopod. The prism or chimney finders are awesome. Just heavy. To finalize, gyn membership. Your arms will need it

Great video! I just bought an RB67 and so now am looking for all the tips I can find, and this was really helpful. I've always kept some gaffer tape in my bag, regardless if it was for school, work, or hiking. What I do is take the cardboard core from a roll of receipt printer paper and wrap a few yards/meters of gaff tape around it. I try to carry a silver Sharpie as well so I can write on the tape.

Love your work and love what you share knowledge wise. Curious if you can use the self timer on the lens as well, and if so, is there a reason to use it on either the lens or body. Thanks.

Sick shots! I found your channel earlier while looking for more RB/RZ67 shooters, and I really love the laid-back vibe of the videos and how you present your techniques. Makes me want to pick up one of those long cable releases or self-timers so I can mess with self-portraiture on my RB. Just subscribed, looking forward to what you post next!

Did you try locking the mirror up? Seems like the out of focus bits might be due to mirror slap

Love this self portrait series of yours! Thanks for sharing. I too take self portraits on the RZ67 from time to time, and though I started out with a timed autoknips device like the one you are using, eventually I grew tired of trying to time the shot. Now I'm using the "Remote Control Mechanical Shutter Release" from Reveni Labs, which is basically a wireless remote cable release. Maybe something you'd be interested in 🙂

For some reason KZbin just put this in my viewing list, two years after you created it. Nicely done! If you're looking for a good idea for a video perhaps consider making one on shooting film with strobes. If you search youtube you'll find there's little to zero content of that combination. My (probably wrong) opinion is that A) people find film complex, B) people find strobes complex, so C) the combo is just impossible! I really think a well done tutorial on film/strobes would be very popular and you certainly presented well here. For bonus points include E-6! Great video!

Hey ! Thank you so much !! Actually will share a video using strobes later this week ! ✨ so it’s perfect timing.

Hi NRG, love this video and your poses. I've done a few self-portraits with this same exact set-up, but my long shutter release cable always sticks (seems to oddly trip the shutter multiple times so I lose a few costly frames.) Have you had any issues similar to this?
@Nrgvisuals11 ай бұрын
Hey ! Thank you so much means a lot! And to answer your question YES happens to me all the time, what I do now which is a bit annoying but you wont lose frames that way is before I advance to next frame, I unscrew it take it off, then advance to next frame and put cable back. Let me know if that helps.
