Hi Glo, I’m planning/hoping to make this to upload for a Valentine’s dessert. I just watched this over. Is the baking of the pie at 350• as the par baking of crust was? I see it’s 25-30 minutes. Just checking on oven temp for the full bake. Thanks 🥰

@violasbakedandcookeddeligh1596 That's great! Yes, same temperature. Since your oven cooks hot, it may take less time or turn your temperature down alittle bit.Key is to not overcook it. I hope you like as much as we do.🥰

Interesting take on this. I grew up with my mom making a similar recipe, but in a pie form. She would make vanilla pudding, and then layer the saltine crackers in a large rectangular glass dish, alternating layers of crsckers and pudding. Sometimes shed have whipped cream to top it off with, sometimes not. It was great either way..

Hi Glo, I’m half way into this awesome video. I want to tell you I absolutely love your apron!! Guess what I just purchased a week ago at Hobby Lobby! A red Cardinal bird😀It’s on my fireplace mantle. ( yes I have made chocolate pies from scratch, always, except for my retro dessert!!) That dessert I made (collab) was made with instant pudding. Most everything we make is from scratch. 😊

I love seafood 🦞, especially lobster, my favorite!!! @violasbakedandcookeddeligh1596 Viola, thank you so much. This is one of our favorite meals. Actually shucking crab and lobster is easy, just time consuming. One year, when I made it for a large dinner party, it took me 3 1/2 hours to shuck all of it. You do need special sheers to cut the shells and lobster/crab crackers. It is so worth it. If you like seafood, you will love this dish! I'm so glad you enjoyed this video. I love cooking with our daughter. She is very with her job,l. Thus, she really does not cook like she would like. One day, she will. She definitely has the skills. This is one of the reasons we started this channel. She and others can refer back to these videos to recall what to do. This is a very impressive meal with fresh lobster & crab, & I know this is the traditional way to make it! I might give it a try with my older son.
