Furnaces will store XP when use as an auto-smelter (or auto-cooker with Smokers), so those levers allow you to collect the XP by flipping and getting the cooked item/s & XP. Anyway, enjoyed the video.

I know you're much further in the game now, I'm a bit late to to comment lol, but I had to mention that when you spoke about wishing the town would do more for the homeless guy Linus, you skipped the rest of the cutscene, after he goes through that second bin, Gus the saloon owner comes out and initially scares Linus, he goes to run away before Gus tells him to stop and explains he just wants to help, that he doesn't want anyone in town to go hungry and if he ever needs food to just ask.

I am absolutely notorious for skipping cutscenes and dialogue, and complaining later I have no idea what to do or what's going on lol thank you for letting me know, I got another scene later on that kinda implied the town does try. I guess he just loves his lifestyle ^^

i found your vid sometime last year I think and I fell in love with the way you play, your little town you made has inspired me to not give up with my minecraft journey LOL I have only been playing for like a year and I get really tempted to just build everything in creative mode but seeing you do the steps in survival encourages me a lot. LOVE your aesthetic! Wish I could enjoy these shaders too but sadly I only play on switch lol

That might be an issue with the mod "World Edit" it makes the wooden tools brushes by default. You can type in the command /none (possible //none) or remove the mod from the list ^^

They do wear the costumes when you use the portraits from the same mod as the sprites! Your portrait mod is overriding it.

I'm enjoying your playthrough and am hoping that you discover what the barn and coop animals eat as well as hay and what happens if you upgrade their homes all the way so that they won't be quite so unhappy when you forget about them. (So awkwardly written so as to try not to give spoilers but to nudge you in the right direction.)

I was going to give a clue as to what the other thing was by saying that it grows in fields but realised that that is no help as lots of stuff grows in fields. I think that you will twig though soon and be a bit 'oh' about it. Sorry. (Twig is not a clue by the way, it is not wood.) Actually I think the game tells you in a Living of the Land broadcast.

if you're playing on 1.5.6, i *heavily* recommend the mod Almanac by Khloe Leclair! it has tons of information about when to plant crops, fish, etc.! there's so much to the game i was overwhelmed, but it truly helped. so happy to see you playing another one of my faves!!! <3

for some reason, my Mizuno's looks a bit different from the one in your videos, textures like acacia planks/stairs and cobblestone walls are different. i prefer the ones you have, but i've downloaded the pack from Mizuno's blog and don't know how to get the version you have

@@goddessofcrows It's cool since it would be very simple to make, most of the features you'd want in a farming mod already exist and it's just a matter of creating a reward & questing system as well as a progression system, and adding a end goal. you could go really in-depth with this by even adding custom multiblock furnaces and what-not for custom recipes as a way to create a progression system. Also adding new mechanics to farming as to make it more realistic, I don't mean just seasonal crops but the quality of the soil, the daily watering, and protection from mobs and it would be cool if there was a disease system you had to watch out for. Closest thing to a disease mechanic would be the mod "pollution of the realms," that I know of. Don't forget crops only being able to be found through exploration in structures/biomes or specific villager trades, also some cool side quests for plants, animals, and tools would be awesome. And some quality of life features to make parts of minecraft not related to agriculture and cooking/baking easier to progress through, possibly the easy villagers mod or the create mod, just to really make it enjoyable and focus on the main themes of the modpack. Sorry for such a long reply I just have so many ideas for modpacks in general, I really enjoy modded minecraft haha
