thank you for the video! i knew of collegehumor back in the days and im a big dropout fan. this video really helped me understand where everything came from!

I can still remember being shown college humor in middle school circa 2004 and subsequently had a cycle over the years of losing interest only to come back and rekindle my love for it via new content rinse and repeat. Lockdown sure enough brought me back with full force and I have now had my Dropout subscription for several years and I am very glad that this video exists to quench the curiosity as to the actual story of one of the more consistent sources of joy and bonding with friends in my life. Very much appreciated and well done!

You know i found very insteresting how much the series escalated, in the beginning it was pretty much just yugo and his friend going on happy go luck adventures with eve if there were some parts that where kinda heavy and now theyre pretty much fighting eldritch horrors and having trauma,i see this as quality because the show grows up with the public and can have mature subjects that can be apreciated even for adults

this was cool. i remembered jake and amir but couldnt remember the names. i wanna say jake and amir ended up having an afv style show on mtv as well. but my familiarity with them was jake amir, badman, and then current drop out stuff, d20, gamechanger, um actually, my personal favorite mine and sam reichs home away from home its make some noise.

This video is phenomenal! Witty, well-articulated, well-written, and (most importantly), terribly engaging! I don’t laugh out loud at KZbin videos often, but I sat and laughed for the entirety of this video. (Note, the Homestuck influence on your writing is just as obvious as it is charming. Keep it up!)

I wanted to thank you for making this video! It is so hard to find a good, coherent and analyzed video essay's on KZbin about early internet culture and how they are succeeding today! ALSO to answer your question I had watched a few college humor youtube skits with Brenden but i really started watching dropout around 2021 after hearing about d20 in 2020, BUT I was too caught up with smosh and their whole fiasco to have time to watch videos on anything but youtube. Now, once I did start watching stuff on dropout, I haven't been able to stop, but I'm pretty ok with that. Keep it up!

Thanks, I'm glad you like the essay. I can understand being drawn in by Brennan, his personality is a great draw for the brand.

This was a really good video!! Personally, I only discovered Dropout & CollegeHumor quite recently, in either 2021 or 2022 (I forget), through youtube recommending me episodes of Breaking News & Game Changer, and clips from Game Changer & Make Some Noise. I subscribed on the strength of Game Changer primarily, and then immediately fell in love with Dimension 20 (I started watching it from the beginning & am still not quite caught up, but I subscribed around the time ACOFAF ended & Neverafter started airing), and shortly afterwards really fell for Dirty Laundry and Make Some Noise as well. I’ve also gone back & watched various sketches, mostly from the more recent CH era but some older ones as well. Dimension 20 and Game Changer are still the biggest draws for me, as I believe they are for the subscriber base in general, so I think it’s safe to say that the current Dropout era is my favorite.

This was recommended to me because I've always played dofus and wakfu off and on and sometimes I Google stuff about it. Got to say, your video had me laughing out loud several times. Good job. I learned there's a lot of show stuff I haven't seen and I need to look up. Watched season 3 of the show though and it was a little jarring how every voice actor changed. But still kept that somewhat strangely inappropriate tone at times 😂

I have been a huge wakfu fan for a long time. I don't care how many views this vid has, it is the perfect introduction to how it all works. I've had 3 different accounts (Full slots on characters except 1) and almost all of them were level 40 or so. One thing I can praise the game the most for is how intricate the turn based gameplay is. The really took their time crafting the world which is also one of my favourite aspects. Anyway, great game, great story, very deep and fun gameplay loop and many other things.
