@@johneason6540 it’s been a few years, but I think 14-15 miles sounds about right. I think it took me like 7 hours with filming/photo stoppages. The descent down that snowfield off Mt. Wilson was the hardest part for me. Haha. I couldn't control my speed on the glissade and kept having to self-arrest. The snow seemed much softer in your video than what I experienced. My climbing partner ended up moderately injured (bruised tailbone or something) after catching air as he glissaded (he was braver than me). I ended up with a very slow descent, step by step, and a death grip on my ice axe. It would have been so much better if I had had traction devices for my boots - spikes or even crampons.

Hey, I know this video filmed a while back but I had a few questions. 1. Why not use the tentacle to multi usb cable? (I am guessing because it wasn't out at the time) 2. Does Final Cut see that timecode data? The reason I ask is because I bought the tentacle cable and fcpx doesn't see that timecode its embedded so I still need to go though the tentacle app. I am wandering if diety went around that somehow by having that box in-between. 3. When you original ran it through the Sony bnc to multi cable from the tentacle sync did the timecode appear in fcpx? Thank you for your time!
@KevinFedde
@KevinFedde 5 ай бұрын
Hey, no worries! 1. You are correct, the tentacle sync cable wasn’t out yet. I prefer that cable now 100% and picked up 5 of them when they came out. 2. Final Cut on my end does see the timecode data, but I found it faster to use the tentacle app to sync and export a timeline anyways than to wait for Final Cut to do the sync. 3. Yeah, same thing with the Sony BNC cable. Final Cut did see the timecode embedded but it was way faster to just use the tentacle sync app than to wait for Final Cut to sync.
