Some postcards have a small number in the corner, for example 08921/6. What does that mean? Is that the number of postcards of that one that exist?

Thank you for this very interesting video. I am an archivist and museum curator (founding curator of the Curt Teich Postcard Archives Collection, now at the Newberry Library, Chicago). I suggest that "real photo" postcards should not be touched on the surface of the photo -- to protect them from the naturally-occuring oils, plus any present dirt, from hands. The surface of photographs is fragile and can be harmed by touching. Simply lightly hold them at the top and bottom edges and don't put fingers on the surface of the cards. Thanks!

The last ship was the titanic or its older twin sister who some conspiracy theorists claim where switched by owner for insurance money so he got a brand new ship (titanic) and got top dollar for his old crusty ship that was on its last days but got value of a brand new ship by simply painting over the names of each one over the other. He got value of ship plus lost revenue on projected sales for several years until a new one could be built and what kinda makes this theory seem plausible is how he branded it as unsinkable knowing that it would would have caused so much press and free publicity back when word of mouth was basically all you had besides a newspaper here and there. Insurance always pays out more than the actual cost to build or value thereof so even if it was the titanic than sank the owner made a large profit off its sinking no matter but if it was his older ship he probably quadrupled his net worth overnight back when a dollar could buy you groceries for almost a month
