You were lucky. I bought an insurance write off in the UK many years ago that had the same issue. Only on this one the regulator caught fire and burned the front end (but amazingly didn't even scorch the paint on the tank. Had only done about 3 miles from a major servicing when it caught fire. Beautiful bike BTW, Still got 2 plus the insurance wreck in my shed!

My God he hasn't ridden all these bikes??? the Zx7rr was an easy ride and all you had to do was blip the throttle occasionally. Once on the interstate you're good to go. It does not have a handmade aluminum gas tank it is aluminum not handmade. Still desirable of course. The sheep in Wolf's clothing they called it. Rob muzzy had to work very hard to get this bike to go fast. I'm not hating but what's the point if you don't ride them. The CBR 900rr was not about putting a big motor in a little chassis, it was a mass centralization design and the motor was built and designed to again target Mass centralization. The OWO1 was the bike to keep and didn't ??? I'm so confused lol

Wow that is quite a garage you have there. The Sport is a good solid easy to work on bike and should run reliably for mileages that will put your Ducati to shame, but Ducatis have other charms. It also looks in great condtion. Mirrors on those bikes are usually poor, tending to loosen on the ball joints after a while, there are alternatives, personally I junked mine and purchased a good quality single bar end (works great for me) The Dellortos are fine nothing wrong with them, but if I'd the money I'd have installed Keihin FCR 41s, although they're expensive compared to just fixing the Dellortos. Their are kits available specifically for the Sport carb Fuel tap is crap and will (if not already) become stiff to turn, Guzzi cheaped out with the O Ring and it swells. Not a biggie as the only time you need to use it is when doing maintenance, and although stiff it can be turned with pliers or a small pipe wrench Looks like previous owner installed a Motospezial Vee Sump with external filter, nice piece of kit Might want to check an additional earth has been added to the Reg/Rec (up behind the fairing) to a good solid earth somewhere on the frame or engine, common mod to prevent premature failure Check out "This Old Tractor" for manuals and Dellortos manuals can be found and lot of great info, many good Guzzi forums are out there too, personally I like the V11 forum too. Enjoy it!!!! Appears to me like you love the bike 👍

Thanks Chris . My Ducati is running great, especially since it's 24 years old. I bought her a couple of years ago. The guy I bought her from had done some beautiful work to her. But the one thing he did that I didn't care for was he removed the original tach and speedo, replacing them with a cheap Motogadget digital dash. I'm an old roadracer, kind of a purest I guess you'd say. Traveling at the speeds I was used to, well gauges just give you a quick report with just a glance. Long story short he cut the wires for the tachometer. I was able to reconnect the speedo, but don't know wiring and can't find anyone who is willing to reconnect the tach.
