I have a couple questions... 1) With the cc pretty much the same, why would someone prefer the small bore 39 to the big bore 40? Aren't big bore supposed to be more powerful, or does it not matter when the cc are the same. 2) With 38 and lower it's easy to find the parts to build an engine from scratch. You talk about getting cylinders/pistons from Athena, but what about the rest of the engine. Where do you purchase a crankcase/crank for a bigbore engine if we want to save some $$$ and build it ourselves?

I need a professional consultation for my scooter engine project, if you’re interested. The objective is starting with either a Zenoah 43L-D or a Chung Yang GP460 stock engine, and ending up with something like a 65ish cc big-bore stroker reed-induction racing engine running on ~120 octane premix with Castrol 927 at 25:1. The 43L-D and GP460 have a 40mm and 42mm bore respectively, and both use a 33mm stroke crank. I saw in one of your videos, your crank guy fab’d a +3mm stroker crank for one of your builds. I cannot find anyone who mass produces these, but my goal is to end up with a 36mm total stroke.

I wish a had a big bore lol I'm the guy Vance has been helping with my Taylor 35 v2 and I got it out today and she's nasty but it's hard to tell cuz I use to run it in my 5t but I ported the exhaust a smidgen and polished it and I did the transfer ports just around the edges and it helps she got pretty warm but I was really ripping it but I keep it a tad rich thanks for your help also brother hope pops gets better 🙏

What if I'm able to slide a 6mm allen head through that gap? What are the pros and cons of raising that gap more than your 2mm example? Did I just waste a cylinder?

If you have a 32cc engine can you change out the head and piston to a 36cc or bigger?

Yes ! The nitro engine will be run this week ! What happened was the first hit we did. Destroyed the transmission. So we had to rebuild it. But it will be run very soon.

@@srerccustoms537 I just did a scz and it will start great and idle with 1 1/4 turns on the low but it just won’t rev out unless its stupid fat. I put a big carb on it with a pulse. Stock bored reed. I thinks is great now but needle are not where expected. No vacuum leak. Nice to hear from you, hope all is well👍
