Hey ya, this is an old kit from Revell, I bought mine in 2002. There must be someone that has still got one. Try eBay, I'm sure there is one out there. Or you can buy a tamiya 993 GT2 kit and 3d print the wing and front spoiler. I'd say, if I found another kit, I'd make a 993 Turbo S with the vents in the rear arches

But I have to say the interior isn't very accurate in the kit, I think it's from a previous generation. I've been busy with things, but would consider remodeling the interior at some point.

I’m creating cubes out of sheets of clear acetate that I’ll have to cut. some of the cubes will protrude through bigger cubes of acetate. I was thinking of using plastic cement to join them together to get the cleanest finish possible. Will the plastic cement hold or what do you recommend?
@IamjustamodelmakerАй бұрын
Hi ya! Depending on the size of your cubes, acetate might be a bit thin to join the edges together, best build a jig to hold it in position whilst joining parts together. Plastic cement is possible, but holding it together for the duration of it to bite and hold could be some time. A solvent based adhesive would be faster, or a thin super glue with activator. But I'd highly recommend a jig to hold parts while you can focus on apply your choice of adhesive. Best of luck!

Make your own emulsion using gum arabic and a photo chemical! Brush it on some photo grade copy paper and let it dry. Do your exposure then in a darkened room ,in close proximity to a humidifier, ( i did it in the bathtub) very carefully dust the photo with lamp black powder. The parts of the photo that receive less light will become sticky from the humidifier and the parts that receive more light will become less sticky resulting in amazing detail. I used a feather from a feather duster for my brush but a small artists brush would work! After its done fix the photo with clear spray paint being careful not to blow the image off the paper from the spray! Just hold it at a safe distance about 1 1/2 ft. from the photo and do a few light coats! Boom!

And Im just a movie worker/ tile guy!
@StonemanRocks8 ай бұрын
You would probably like to know how to mix the emulsion and its ingredients huh? Its gum arabic and ammonium dichromate and a little distilled water! Mix it in an airtight jar with a good lid. Sorry I dont remember exact amounts but I do remember it wasnt too too critical as long as it was an even coating onto the paper! Experiment with just the gum arabic and distilled water first before you add the AD. Make sure when it dries its an even coating . too thick add a little distilled water. Its not hard to figure it out and it goes a long way so be frugal with the amounts! Good luck!
