The heads that you have are like the 7K3 heads, where the first and last bolt holes do not exit. I ended up doing the engineering change on the heads.

@@TheMrmmkkpro really do u have any way to look at the front joint to identify it was ur issue …
@TheMrmmkkproАй бұрын
@KennethC-x8n On my truck it was the front universal joint on the main aluminum driveshaft. I changed all u joints but the front one was defective. I was driving on the interstate at 85 mph. It was vibrating like a bitch and let go with a big boom. I thought my tyranny gave up. Had it towed to a AAA garage , they changed the broken front u joint and now she is smooth as glass. The mechanic told me it was a defective part I put in. I told my son I was going to drive it till it broke and that's what I did. So check all u joints, it's a bitch to find the vibration , good luck , let me know what ya find 👍👍🏁🏁

@@TheMrmmkkpro so I replaced the back first and still vibrated like a whore and then pulled it back out and replaced the front … def better but I still have vibration it’s just not as bad .. I had the wheels rebalance and new tires … only 2 things left balance the drive shaft and axles ?

What did you figure out?
@TheMrmmkkpro2 ай бұрын
It was failed lifters on cylinders 4 and 7. BTR cam, LS7 lifters. I guess that slop in TC is normal. I thought the failed lifters were a ujoint ,sounded just like it. Now I did all my u joints looking for my Chevy shake , nothing worked. So I decided I would drive it till it broke. Interstate 77 N heading to Clevalnd 80 mph ,shaking like a bitch. The front u joint came out , hired a AAA shop to fix it and the new u joint I put in was defective according to the garage. It's smooth as glass now and no more AFM. Good luck.

Hi Michael, I have a C5 that got reduced engine power problems. I am not a mechanic but I want to try to fix this without spending thousands of dollars. My dad has had this car since about 1999 and he took really good care of it but he kept it in the garage and didn’t drive it very often so I’ve definitely overhauled a lot of mechanical issues that I would call maintenance, anyway could I possibly speak to you to get some guidance?

Michael if you ever do get rid of it, give me a holler. I bought a 94 C4 back when I was 24, (many years ago) and unfortunately had to sell it due to life, kids, etc. I've been wanting to get into another C4 at some point. Getting close to 50 now and well life isn't getting any longer if you know what I mean. With your car, I would continue to finish what you started with bringing her back to life even more. Anyway, enjoy your Vette and drive her like she was meant to be driven sir.

Main ingredient in ospho is phosphoric acid....so prep and etch concrete at home depot and milk stone remover. At feed store are stronger and less expensive. Phosphoric acid is what in etching primer...and I prefer it first before any epoxy. On old metal

Not sure yet , I want a material that is sticky and has some flex properties. I used 4000 pound concrete on the first repair , but this is different , it's not as deep ,kinda like a skim coat in places. Epoxy sounds good , I used bonding promoter up top. Will keep you guys posted , thanks for watching 👍👍
