I've never liked this music genre at all. But, I needed to watch a tutorial on the work flow because my unit is coming this week. It was a joy to watch you work and tie it all together! I learned a lot so THANK YOOOOOO! This was fun.

This may have very well answered a lingering problem I've had with watermarked ShutterStock demo music (mp3) and not being able to replace it with the full quality non watermarked tracks (WAV). If anyone else has a workaround for this, I'd love to know what it is. Thanks! ~Robert

I felt like the Eyeball did way better than the Alctron at removing room noise, but I could hear that low end like you were saying (from the proximity effect). The Eyeball also absorbed more high frequencies, so that recording sounded more dull than the Alctron and control.

Nice video bruh !! That is a good vocal recording too. The most important piece of gear in a vocal recording is the mic preamp. I prefer those that have a transformer in the signal. They handle the capsule better and add depth and sheen to the sound. Back in the days we had a saying. "You better fix it in the recording because you can't fix it in the mix". Plugins don't do well with bad recordings. Everybody gets caught up in the plugin hype at some point. I remember hearing Rodney Jerkins say that he had over 500 and he had the SSL 9000j and tons of outboard gear LOL., At one time I had 720 and eventually brought it down to under 100. Now I have my favorite 20 and half of those are used only for restoration. Pultec makes some of the best plugins. I like the speed of the Smack compressor. I also have some Native Instrument and iZotope AI plugins. I have been rocking Pro Tools since the 882 came, that was a game changer... I quit after v12 when they started all that subscription bull-crap. Now that they have the perpetual licensing again, I may go back LOL. Thanks for sharing !!

Nice. I have the 8816 but find it hard to spend that much money for the faders. Neve must be proud of that kit.

Great video! I have a question. We record a singer singing a ballad where everything is quiet but the refrain is significantly louder. Should I have settings to fit both the loud and soft parts or make two separate tracks (one for verses and one for refrains) with different gain settings on my soundcard?

I listened with my headphones and I think the two interfaces are awesome, but there's a unique cushion of warm smooth ambience with the vocals from the quantum which might be more appropriate with certain genres of music
