As a kid who related to Boober a lot, I always appreciated how they handled this episode. Boober didn’t come back because he got super lonely, or bored, or missed his friends, no. He’d be fine with seeing them on a once/twice-monthly basis & living away from the hubbub. Instead, they gave kids the way more pressing & concrete information that “If you live in isolation, the wild animals are way bigger, & nobody will hear you scream for help!” I had seen the first sort of storyline in a lot of shows as a kid, but just sort of brushed them off because ‘I can deal with loneliness, nbd’, but bears? Moose? Fast growing carnivorous plants? Mold poisoning? Good point, Mr. Henson. Maybe moving into the middle of nowhere isn’t such a great idea.
