I was in a hotel in France that had very kindly labelled everything in French and English. Such as Chambres/ rooms but the one that got me was Restaurant/ Restaurant 😂😂😂😂

There are signs with lights on them on one of my local b-roads that say 'reduce speed when flashing'. The lights are literally never off.

Online, there’s a picture of a parking lot sign on a parking space that says “Green Vehicles Only” presumably referring to eco friendly vehicles. Well in that spot is a green Dodge Challenger SRT8

On the Delaware 113, there's a massive overhead sign with flashing lights that reads, "URBAN AREA. STAY ALERT" and it might be my favorite sign ever.

I think they're missing the point - 10k pounds is a way to pocket 9500 pounds while installing a 500 pound sign. Kickbacks, bribes, corruption all that jazz - very profitable.

Not technically a road sign, but at a church I used to go to someone had the idea of putting signs up so visitors could find their way around. Brilliant idea, only it took the church council 3 years to decide whether there should be signs and how big they should be. The whole thing got so heated that they ended up having to bring in professional mediators to resolve it. I can’t even remember whether they put the signs up in the end

"Bridge ices before road" That sign only applies for a specific time frame before the rest of the road freezes on top of the sign only being useful for two months out of the year

The point is, people are driving on the road thinking "oh, it's not icy" and then they hit the bridge and suddenly, _it is_ and they panic. And so we need signs to remind us of basic physics.

Not a road sign but the best thing I've seen in England was a man and his sheep sitting side by side in a truck towing an old Citröen on the M6.
