The discussion on passion is interesting. There is a book by Cal Newport called "So Good They Can't Ignore You: Why Skills Trump Passion in the Quest for Work You Love" that is a good read on this subject.

Right now, I'm 27 years old. I'm broke, I'm unemployed, and I still live in my parents' house. Needless to say, I'm EXTREMELY discontent and dissatisfied with where I currently am in life. Growing up, the only thing I was interested in was football. Unfortunately, being that this is Kenya, I was limited by my environment. Because of this, my teenage and younger years predominantly consisted of anger, frustration, depression, and everything else in between, and unfortunately, these things drove me down certain negative paths, such as addiction & drug abuse. I also ended up developing some negative habits because of this unfortunate reality. I'm still angry and depressed, but not as much as I was years ago. Though sometimes, it certainly still feels like I am. Fast-forward to now, I have interests in the creative industry being that I'm IMMENSELY passionate about writing and comedy. I have tons of ideas for blogs and I'm also looking forward to doing standup, creating content, and influencing-whatever this path entails. I'm saying all this to say: it gives me hope to hear established people such as Jules and Eric talk about how they've experienced the things that I've experienced and am currently experiencing. At least this reminds me that what I'm going through is surmountable and at least it reminds me that eventually, one day, it will all come to pass-and for that, I'm immensely grateful. Thank you 🙏 and shoutout to the both of you. God bless 🙏❤
