I want to buy a new car. Do you recommend buying a Ford F-150 V8 5.0 or a Ram Dodge? I would like to know which is better in the long run, has fewer problems, and has less fuel

@@qazqaz-kp1xj to be completely honest, if those are your two options, f150 all day. Since Stelantis bought Ram in 2020, dodge vehicles (including jeeps) have had more issues than ever and the quality has gone down hill.

I want to buy a 2024 Ford F-150. There are two engines, a 5.0v8 and a 3.5 turbo. Which one is better in the long run in terms of service, less mechanical problems, less fuel consumption, better towing power and in the desert? I am following your beautiful channel and subscribe and like.
@OTGtravels17 күн бұрын
@@qazqaz-kp1xj I am biased a little but I see both sides. Sadly, I’ve heard the 3.5 gas mileage hype is a scam. They aren’t getting the 28 that ford advertises. I’ve had three 5.0 vehicles now and I’ve had no problems with them. The 5.0 will for sure be the better option for towing unless you go with the high output f150 with the 3.5 motor. Personally, I’d go 5.0 all day. Thanks for subscribing to my channel!

2.7 turbo is nice. Getting 18.7mpg with 2.5 in level and 34s. And for power, well I ripped a Jeep Patriot out of sand 3 weeks ago.

Roughly how much does all that overland gear weigh, on top, inside, everything you bring with you for a trip, all of it? I'm trying to decide between a Platinum, Tremor or Raptor for a 2025 purchase, leaning Tremor, and payload capacity is a relevant factor. Thanks. And thanks for a useful review too. If I got the Platinum or Tremor I'd likely do some after market work like a level/lift and larger 35 tires and such. Oh, and do you think 2 maxtracks are enough, or would 4 be better? And do you think using a pop up tent is a lot better than using a ground tent?
@OTGtravels2 ай бұрын
@@Nate-zy5ce i would guess it’s roughly around 1,000lbs when I’m fully loaded and headed out. 2 maxtrax has always been enough for me, but I can see where 4 could be a benefit at times. Glad you liked the video!
@OTGtravels2 ай бұрын
@@Nate-zy5ce as far as the tent goes, I love a roof top tent. If you use it enough, it is 100% worth it. I’ve used both, and the RTT just gives that tree house vibe.. and who doesn’t want to sleep in a tree house? It does suck if you have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, I will admit.
