So frustrating started hearing some thing off about the ski on the last ride at the lake which unfortunately for me was a while ago about two years because we had a child since then and it’s been no go for me to be able to get back out on the ski and ride again. Since they were brand new at the time and it had not been a year yet and there is about nine hours on the skis I figured I would wait for the oil change until I was ready to go ride again. Getting ready this weekend to take them out put some fresh batteries in them because of course they were dead my wife’s STX started up just fine and runs like a champ. When I went to start the SXR I could hear some thing in the engine that did not sound right and then a knocking noise and the engine cut off. Started it up again for just a second and I can hear more knocking and it shut off. I am assuming I am dealing with the same scenario.. We shall see, thanks for the post.

You can’t “conserve” your way out of this on the backs of residential users. The farmers use over 75% of the water from the river. Irrigation methods need to change and thirsty crops like cotton, alfalfa and almonds need to stop being grown in the desert.

Good points! I appreciate the comment!

Nice video. I see the gas prices are less money there than they are in Southern California. I was last at Bullfrog in 1981 when the lake was full. I was at Wahweap in 2019 and 2021. It’s sad to see how much water is gone/wasted on unsustainable development and irrigation of crops that shouldn’t be grown in arid climates.

The South West and CA got 2 choice, fix or keep the water problem! CA got 85,9 m acre foot, Coloumbia river dumps 191,3 m foot into The Pasific every year. Move some water (10%). Make a 365m long tunnel from Red Bluff (Delaware Aqueduct tunnel is 86 miles). NV, AZ, Mexico can then keep more Colorado water (5 million acree feet a year).

Dennis, sorry, it wont but the long term trend is total depletion. 52 million years ago this event occurred due to co2 emissions. Co2 holds heat in the atmphere and its currently over heating earth at 7x10^22 Joules energy. The total heat absorbed into the worlds oceans is 5 thermal nuclear bombs per second up 4 thermal nuclear bombs per second. Heating of the worlds oceans is accelerating the Flood/Drought cycle by the way of the Walker Event. The same event is occurring in the Indian ocean except the trade winds are moving from East to West Flooding Australia and pushing the horn of Africa into a major drought killing wild life.
