Hi Alex, do you know if this combination of (an ONR + TP-LINK ES205 + EAP650-walls) will work? To provide Omada centralised mgmt + PoE . I'm trying to lower the cost here. Thanks!

Hi Alex, thanks for your detailed review. Looking forward to the updated review! I'm looking for a door and gate lock ideally with these features: 1) 2-way synchronization 2) Facial recognition 3) Able to control whether to unlock both door and gate or door only when opening from inside, without changing settings to change the mode. So far I only found that Luxus ATLAS + DR6 has these functions but I would prefer to get from a brand that makes their own products. Any suggestions?

I am a little surpised by your conclusions. I work with Homey for about 4 years now and I find it extreme easy to use. The automations wit Advanced flows is extremely powerful, but still aesy to start with. The 6 antenna’s of different protocols is quit great too. Considering the cost for different hubs, needed for other systems, it less expensive then it seems. Sometimes i had issues, but -exempt 1 problem- everysthing was solved by the company or the very active community. In the 10 months after your test very much devices are added, almost dayly. Within a few weeks a very great and intuitive dashboard will be launched (now in beta). In my experience Homey is the easiest to use and has a very high spous-acceptance. Did i mention how great the flow-editor is? True: before buying a device I alway look up if there is an Homey-app for it.

I'm considering the eufy c30 but i dont have the eufy homebase and don't wish to buy one. Instead, we run google nest speakers in the house. Would you know if the google nest speakers could serve as chimes for a eufy doorbell? We have a eufy spotlight/camera over our garage already, and i like their ecosystem, plus i like the eufy doorbell not requiring a subscription.

Hey Alex, not sure if you keen. But I don't see an review/comparrison videos automated laundry racks of 2024 models. Soo many brands out there that claims to be SG number 1 like Steigen, RemodeHub etc. No details on differences across brands and its hard to choose. Wondering if you are up for it? Might be a tedious video but would be helpful. And yea, I need help in choosing a rack. lol

@@AlexTeo I just mentioned that many of these bells are so bulky. In other words, I would prefer to see a doorbel that is simply slimmer. Take for example the dimensions of the Aqara G4 doorbel. - height, over 14 centimeters - width: 6,5 centimeters - thickness 3 centimeters I admit that this Aqara is one of the largest on the market. But come on, the thickness is almost half of the width of the device.I think that alone makes it fair to call it bulky. Many of it's competitors aren't much less bulky. I would rather prefer it to be ± 1, 5 centimeters thick. The thickness has obviously nothing. to do with visibility of the device. It's more about how it is designed and the manufacture choice of the hardware that they put in. It's partly to do with what is possible or not and the market price that they are aiming at. So, I get that part. I don't need to have it stand out so much from my front door so everyone can see my doorbel from a distance. My current doorbel (smart but no camera ) is about 4,5 x 4,5 x < 1,5 centimeters. It's visible enough for everyone. Perhaps not when you are 25 meters away from my door. If you are planning to push my doorbel then you'll need to approach my door to at least 1 meter. So far I haven't see people with 25 meters long arms. As for a doorbel with camera, I am still looking for a device that fits what I want. I don't mind it to be a bit larger that what I have now but 3 centimeters thick is insane to me and ugly. I probably end up in diving into some esp32 solution. But I am sure that manufacturers are pretty well capable to make a doorbel with camera in a more slimmer and classier design. After all, it's not so much a replacement for a regular security camera. At least for me it's about to have a device to ring my doorbell and being able to see who is at my doorbel. cheers

On paper the Philips Hue App sounds like a great idea, no sync box, no camera, just a TV app. I got a Samsung TV mainly for that reason, but I was very disappointed with the app. First, the app wasn’t available in my country, so I had to switch to a US account, but it required a US card to make the purchase, which I got paying an extra and many workarounds. Then, I found out the app is quite buggy, let’s say you want to change the sync mode or the zone, the app freezes on loading and the only solution is to restart the TV. Also, even if you have automatic syncing when the TV is turned on, sometimes it just refuses to work, the solution is to go to the app and start syncing manually, and… surprise! The app freezed again, so time to restart the TV. Finally, it lacks many feature from the Hue Sync Box like Music Syncing (which was promised by the end of this year) or custom settings for each port. Fortunately I just got the monthly subscription and after some months of trying it and waiting for an update with bug fixes, I decided to order the Hue Sync Box 8K, it is too expensive for what it offers, but I prefer something expensive that actually works over a buggy app.
