I’ve bookmarked a few of your tech videos & have taken an interest to Aqara smart home devices because of that especially with its native compatibility with HomeKit. I’m still not very clear on the differences between Aqara CN version versus Global version, like how do they affect user experience if say one uses a combination of both. Hence I would really appreciate if you could do a video explaining in detail the experience and whether if it makes sense to pay a premium to get everything locally. I was set on the H1, decided this might make more sense instead, especially the white one looks really good! P/s: It seems like you might be using the T1M as well (review video please!). Otherwise, well done another great video edit!

I have bought many Aqara E1 switches and T3 downlights from Taobao and a M3 hub (global version) but yet to pair them. I did some research and it seems there may be region lock. Does changing region to China server solve the issue? Many thanks

Hi Alex. Love your video on Z1 Pro. Will they work with any 3rd party DIMMABLE recessed lights or track lights? I was told that if I want my lights to be dimmable, I will need to either purchase their lights or use their transformer which are quite pricey.

Unfortunately it seems like even with a neutral wire connected, it still functions as an End Point device and not a Router which may be a deal breaker for some.

Using the 4 gang Z1 Pro as an example, this means that if I install it with a T1M ceiling light - i should connect it to L1? Then run it in decoupled mode so that I can use the 1st and 2nd buttons to control the main light and the led ring separately? or should I simply connect the light to L? which would mean that i actually have a triple relay in the switch that can be used independent of the buttons, for any non smart items like a dumb light / fan?

there is difference between smart bulbs and dimmable bulbs, if you want to use the slider for dimming controls then you have to pair it with aqara smart lighting products

I’ve watched your video from a year ago, can you elaborate on why are you not concerned about security and privacy with their cloud services??? I had an eye on built in smart sockets, light+rgb switchers and thermostat… and those models that are design-compatible are all with Tuya… I didn’t see such variety of matching designs using any other app..
